  1. No - I do it too cause it annoys the bajeezes out of me. "Sweet Swinging Billy's" style of copy/pasting and totally avoiding the quote button at all costs annoys me.
  2. You still need to repay me that 6th dollar.
  3. Not a chance. If they are now just getting to review the clubs financial records, it cannot happen in two days and most of baseball is out for the holidays. First Zell would need to select who he wants to sell to and I think he has bigger fish to fry revamping the executive level of Tribune. Then it needs to be approved by the ownership committee. THEN, it goes to the owners who would have to meet and approve the deal. That doesn't happen in two days. Who the heck is O's Insider anyhow? Sounds like a blog which means don't believe it. This reply is absolutely hilarious. I love it. How did I miss this? Classic!!!!!! Again, care to explain why this is "classic"? Yeah, I am a little offended. Sorry but I don't spend my time reading every baseball tidbit and every thread on this board. I read what interests me and there was nothing to indicate to me that this person was not being serious. The reply to your post was probably in poor taste, but the original poster was making an inside joke regarding the O's. There would have been no way for you to tell that he was joking, unless you had followed the Roberts-gate scandal (regarding the outed Oriole Hangout insider). The poster kept saying "Roberts to the Cubs is IMMINENT" etc. etc. It came down to the point where he was stringing everybody along, and his "inside source" was setting him up with bad info to expose him. Do you see this deal happening before opening Day? And if it does do you think the Cubs and MLB will give Cuban a fair shot? or was Canning and Co. the chosen owner all along? I stand by my initial reply. His follow up "offended" post was even funnier. A question was asked. The answer was apparently no.

  5. Do you really care what the place is called? I think the implication that the name means nothing is absurd. I agree it would not be the end of the world, but the name "Wrigley Field" does carry weight, and is an iconic name.
  6. My feeling exactly. If we start crucifying and holding amphetamines against players, then we need to dig a lot deeper than just a few years back. I'm in the same boat. Not concerned with them.
  7. Sort of what we figured. It will be interesting to see his home/road splits. Home 16-0, ERA .34 K:BB 17 Road 17-0 ERA .41 K:BB 16

  10. http://www.cnn.com/ You're welcome Yes, welcome. Note that was meant as a joke, not a hostile post.
  11. Come on man, this is a family site. Fukudome I understand, it was a joke. Fukudome
  12. cuz they have 8 home dates, not 81 While your point still stands, they actually have 10 home dates in the NFL. They charge full price for preseason games.
  13. once again, you clearly watched the whole thing lawl... I wonder how many people are going to post without actually watching the end of the video. Gee, nice assumptions guys. I watched the whole thing. (twice now, to make sure I didn't close the window early last time) I didn't say it wasn't impressive, it was. That said, again, I have never heard of anyone seeing a bat stand up. I have personally seen plenty of rolling tires, spend a couple weekends at a racetrack.
  14. They're the same thing as "We are!" "ND!"
  15. Bats I have seen land on end after being thrown: 0 Tires I have seen roll: 3 (One of which turned along with the banking of a ractrack)
  16. I think Newark is in New Jersey. Just a guess though. Southsiders are the New Yorkers of Chicago.
  17. I am in OMC's corner. Whatever thats worth.
  18. I may have totally missed this, but halfway down the article. http://www.startribune.com/507/story/1558537.html
  19. To be fair though, it was a 3 way tie between Gullett, Messersmith, and Sutton. I knew I shoudn't have picked Zahn.
  20. A season ticket holder I work with told me this the other day. Not sure if she heard it through the grapevine or recieved a letter yet.
  21. I was absolutely replying to Bruno. There wasnt even an XM mentioned in the original post. When I hit reply, the extent of his post was "details to follow shortly.." To which I replied.
  22. I love lamp. Seriously though, your point with this? To get credit for breaking the news? Well whoever has the actual news (to follow) will get that credit.
