  1. If this ends up being 4/$50 that'd be huge. Hopefully those rumors are true. Either way, I'm excited. Nice job Jimbo!
  2. http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.northsidebaseball.com%2FForum%2Fviewtopic.php%3Ff%3D6%26t%3D45790%26start%3D825&langpair=en%7Cja&hl=en&ie=UTF-8
  3. Our team right now is good enough to win the division. Add Fukudome, Blanton, Figgins, and Roberts and we're the best team in the NL.
  4. At this point I don't even care what it costs to land Fukudome. We've put so much into his basket that we need to land. I've already come to turns that the contract is going to suck, but it needs to be done at this point.
  5. If Bedard goes out tonight, and Fukudome decides in the next 24-48 hours, I'd bet Roberts will be a Cub by the weekend.
  6. Your guess is as good as mine. If the Cubs land Fukudome, I think they will be more willing to trade Pie especially if Colvin is progressing. Hendry keeps saying Pie is untouchable, but I got to believe if Hendry becomes desperate for Brian Roberts, he'll put Pie in that deal. With Pie, Theriot and the pitcher's spot, the lineup has 3 automatic outs (save for Z). That's why the Riot hits 2nd to stop the auto 3! If Pie goes and Hendry deals for Roberts doesn't that leave a hole in Right? DeRosa, maybe?
  7. Do those happen often? Does anyone know? I wish I understood the sarcasm here. :-k
  8. Who's MU supposed to be? :D Don't even get me started on our bizarre abbreviation. I don't know the backstory behind it, but it bothers me.
  9. U.S. News & World Report disagrees with you...this in no way is trying to spark and argument, because i don't really care, just was curious on how the schools ranked nationally in a variety of statistics...so i looked it up and that was the first link i found that gave a list. I was getting ready to post this. There is very little reason to think Missouri is a better school than Illinois. It's obviously arbitrary, but Illinois is a better school. I don't think anyone was arguing that.
  10. I think the Cowboys could beat the Colts, but I get your point. The fact of the matter is though between the White Sox and Cards recently winning the World Series, and Illinois/Kansas getting BCS bids over Mizzou, I can't handle any more bragging at the hands of my teams, haha.
  11. Almost as great as watching Romo act like a little bitch when things weren't going great. I preferred watching him throw for the game winning touchdown. I didn't know you were a Cowboys fan. I hate the Cowboys, but as long as they keep the Packers out of the Super Bowl, I'm a-ok with them. Yeah, we don't have any pro teams here, so when I was a kid I latched onto the 1-15 Cowboys during Aikman's rookie year. Makes sense. I never really thought about it.

  13. I'd do it in a second if that's what it came down to, but I can't imagine Hendry bringing Sammy back. PS: When did you drop the "Sauce?"
  14. Unnecessary capitalization of "kiss" but other than that it looks good.
  15. I'll never kiss a U of I fan ;) And grammar is the best type of argument to have. ;)
  16. Are you really this dumb? If somebody answers "Oh Im going to University of Illinois", you seriously think that sounds correct? Wouldnt surprise me at all coming from a Mizzou student, but its wrong. And you of all people should know about blind homer-ism. Enjoy yourself. Im done with this thread, Ill stick to the BCS thread, while you enjoy your non BCS game. Are you really that dumb? As TT said, I'm talking about the abbreviation, not the full name. I'm glad you're taking your whining and crying elsewhere. We're all better off because of it.
  17. Floridas recievers laugh in the face of Meyer as they are transferring to the U of I as well. Oh god. What? I think you are getting a little nit picky. Heaven forbid I ever use the word "the" before saying U of I, considering it sounds stupid without the word "the", but whatever. And with that I will post this. Mizzou commit London Davis TE from Cahokia Il, has backed out of his commitment, to come join THE Zooker. Good, you guys can have all the East St. Louis recruits you want. I prefer Mizzou to have as few gangbangers as possible. We save the gangbangers for our basketball team.
  18. I've never heard a single person put "the" before U of I. "Where you going to school?" "U of I" No one I know has ever said "Oh, I'm going to the U of I." That sounds [expletive]. Either way, someone needed to call you out on your blind homer-ism. Enjoy losing to USC by 40.
  19. You posted "the" before "U of I" to sound mighty and prestigious, like "The Ohio State University." You can admit it, it's okay. And as for Davis, that's pretty old news. He committed really early and with Coffman likely coming back and the No. 6 TE in the nation, Andrew Jones, coming here, Davis would've been buried on the depth chart for awhile.
  20. Floridas recievers laugh in the face of Meyer as they are transferring to the U of I as well. Oh god.
  21. I can't imagine the spread will be very much. Both should be in the Top 15 or even Top 10. Mizzou loses a couple offensive weapons, but that means more playing time for people like Perry(who was a Freshman All-America then got bumped to 5th WR because of depth) and Alexander. Daniel is back to lead the offense, and there's going to be 9-10 returning defensive starters. Alexander is just like Maclin, except he has unbelievable jumping ability. Assuming Coffman stays (I bet he will), he's going to put up Rucker 07 numbers at least, with probably more touchdowns. Derrick Washington (is the Truth) and Jimmy Jackson will split time at RB, both, IMO, are better than Temple (and I'm a big Temple fan). Our offensive won't miss a beat. All that said, I can't see the spread being more than -4 either way.
