Soto is not really this bad and if we're going to ship him out, it's best to let him build some value. Benching him now wouldn't be the wisest thing to do. Soto is awful. Not only is he a below-average hitter but I'd say he's one of the worst fielding catchers in baseball and he can't throw anyone out. He was in the top 5 in CS% last year and has typically thrown out between 25-30% of would be base stealers in his career, which is decidedly not bad. He's not Yadi Molina, but he's not the worst defensive catcher around, or even close. He's off to a slow start, but he's in good shape, had a strong spring and in an "on" year in his on/off offensive pattern. You let Soto play.
