  1. I don't think what he does is nibbling. He just physically cannot throw strikes. Yeah, this is what I have thought for a long while now.
  2. I'm pretty sure Castro has popped out every AB after his first.
  3. Holy crap, that's ridiculous.
  4. He also actually has the highest LD% on the team. Yeah...hasn't shown any power yet, but if can keep hitting line drives and taking walks like he has, his normalized stats should be pretty good, or at least good for his standards. He's hit a handful of balls I thought had a chance to get out, but a couple were into the wind at Wrigley and two were between the alleys in Miami.
  5. He also actually has the highest LD% on the team. He was quietly doing pretty well up until the Philly series.
  6. That better be Kristin's dog.
  7. It was, but Mesoraco did a great anti-framing job. He almost fell over catching it.
  8. For some perspective, April/May 2011 were the worst two (full) months of Albert's career be a fair margin. So far in 2012, he's .200 OPS below that pace. I expect Pujols will snap out of it and go on a tear, but still, yikes.
  9. Wrigley and the wind had a huge hand in that.
  10. I have to deal with too many of these people. Marijuana has some limited medial benefits, but of course has its share of negative health effects. It certainly isn't a harmless wonder drug that has been totally demonized. Having said that, it should be legalized, regulated and taxed. If alcohol is legal, there's absolutely no reason weed shouldn't be. Of course I think the entire "war on drugs" is a massive, egregious waste of resources and profoundly negative social force, but criminalizing pot is particularly dumb. And for the record I haven't smoked up in years and wouldn't even if it were legal. See I don't get that argument. All because one drug is legal, lets make another one legal. Why give more options to get wasted? Because people will do it (prolifically) regardless of legality. That's what some people don't want to reconcile with. All making it illegal does is create a criminal culture around it, spawning violence and filling up prisons with many people who don't need to be there (users, growers). It's easy to produce, so it's hard to regulate. Being that trying to stamp it out is a total waste of time, money and lives, why not legalize and tax it, turning it from a monetary sinkhole into a source of revenue? Doing so would also all but kill off crime related to its production, trafficking and sale, freeing up prison space for people who should actually be there. As a substance, it's equal to or less (almost certainly the former) of a disruptive social force than booze. Legalizing it makes so much sense it's not even funny. Which is why it is just a matter of time.
  11. For those not watching, that ball was mashed to the opposite field.
  12. The perception of Geo the defender doesn't quite match reality.
  13. Yes, my life is damaged by this feeble attempt to regain his glory days. That was quite the zinger you laid on me. Regain his glory days? What the hell is wrong with you? So well played. LOL!. You sound like a lunatic. Are there reasons for him to quit? Sure. But there are reasons for him to keep going. It's hardly mind boggling that he's trying to continue his career.
  14. He's been worse than this over the course of weeks before and come back to post really solid numbers. It's amazing how many people are throwing dirt on him after 20 or so games.
  15. Something's wrong. Stewart hit a line drive that wasn't right at someone.
  16. Not bad as a one year, post band-aid.
  17. Giancarlo Stanton just hit a homer that didn't seem to get more than 10 feet off the ground.
  18. Jered Weaver one inning from a no hitter.
