  1. After plugging "baserunning" into Google along with "rounding first", I got a ton of hits, mostly little league, softball and instructional sites. I visited every one on the first 3 pages, and each one that mentioned a method either specified the right foot or using the foot dictated by stride. None specified using the left foot.
  2. http://www.davislittleleague.org/coaching_runningtips.asp I saw a few more, but the consensus from what I saw seems to be either use whichever foot stride favors, or the right foot. Wow. Davis Little League, eh. Good search. :D Almost all the little league sites use the same exact thing. Besides, where do most players learn how to run the bases?
  3. After a cursory search, I found a couple tidbits on the issue: http://www.webball.com/cms/page3193.cfm http://www.davislittleleague.org/coaching_runningtips.asp http://www.coachjim.250x.com/baserunning.htm I saw a few more, but the consensus from what I saw seems to be either use whichever foot stride favors, or the right foot.
  4. Are you Bernie Mac? Thx for the jinx. Man, you can't jinx the Cubs anymore than they already are.
  5. White Sox lose. I wonder if they have anything the Cubs could use, they're not far from white flag time.
  6. But it's Jacque. Sad when your RF is relegated to sac bunting, but it was probably for the best.
  7. The only thing the bothers me about DeRo is that he could block Patterson. what about fontenot blocking patterson I think Patterson will be better than Fontenot.

  9. I can see why some Cubs fans would be indifferent about Sosa's poor play of late, but I have no idea why one would revel in it.
  10. I keep waiting for Prince to eat him during some long inning in which he gets hungry, but he's not accommodating me.
  11. eh his stories used to bug me but they grew on me...i think it was just how he replaced stone and i really liked him I liked Stone as much as anyone, but I also remember Joe Carter and Dave Otto. Dan Plesac? Yeesh, that was bad. Yeah, he's awful. I liked Carter the least, because he was such a nice guy it made me feel guilty for wanting to strangle him.
  12. i'm starting to suspect you're a closet hawk harrelson fan My signed petitions to get him out of the booth would say otherwise. repeating his nauseating comments just perpetuates the idea that he's catchy. He Gone, put it on the board, duck snort... put it all in a box and blow it up. I often fantasize about hearing one of those old "Severe beating of..." skits that were on Adam Sandler's CDs, except with Hawk on the receiving end.

  14. I don't get the Brenly hate. I find him easy to listen to.
  15. The most agitating broadcast I have heard this year is the Mariners' team. I wanted to find them and injure them. Badly. Perhaps mortally.
  16. Cubs fans have always been spoiled with good broadcast teams (with a couple exceptions at analyst).
  17. your beef should be with Cubs pitching ok. i really hate victor diaz and latroy hawkins. saying i hate latroy hawkins doesnt even mean anything anymore...i have said it way too many times over the years I don't hate LaTroy as much as I hate Dusty for making him the closer.
  18. Only one of which would be justified. Milo was a mean spirited jerk. Stone was just villified by the orginization because they were too gutless to lay the blame on their own lousy players. I have no idea how a fan could actually dislike Steve Stone. He's one of the most knowledgeable folks to ever set foot in a broadcast booth. Shhh! He is a pompous buffoon who only stated the obvious in such a way that made him appear smart. Don't you try and tell us anything differently. And don't you know he and Chip orchestrated th 2004 meltdown?
