Or other things. You're exactly right. 99% of the time, I am pretty cool and collected in what I post. What comes out of my mouth or what I do to objects around me is a whole other story. As far as arguing goes, there have been innumerable time that I have thought something snide or vicious, sometimes even typed it out, just to take a deep breath and let it go. This is why I don't buy the excuse that just because it's a game thread, it's okay to post in knee-jerk fashion.

If there ever were a situation for Marmol to pitch, this would be it. He better be in this inning. Yeah I am hoping for Marmol. Howry is the guy. Bad choice, IMO. Hope I'm wrong.

Is he another one like Hawk? I don't think so. I think this hurts him. They aren't in it every year. Uecker is anything but a Hawk Harrelson. He's probably leaving now rather than the traditional end of the inning because he can't stand it, and honestly I feel for him. But not the rest of the team. Yeah, Uecker's a good guy. Comparing him to Hawk is a slight.

Clearly Rich is one of the Cubs better pitchers, but statistically his numbers are a bit skewed by his April. Rich has been pretty average for most of the season. Every one of the Cubs starters have had a ridiculous hot streak, so all of them are skewed, so Id say you can look at them pretty accurately. What I do know is that it the season were to be decided by one game, right now, I would want Z to pitch it. If Z couldn't, I'd be torn between Lilly and Hill.

Turned into gripe threads? They've always been this way. They become celebration threads when the Cubs actually play well. It's just been so long you have probably forgotten. They have always been this way, to a degree. There used to be consistent pbp.

Not trying to be a dick, but there are things such as gamecast and yahoo, who do pbp, and you can follow every pitch. Which freeze up half the time, or are way behind.
