  1. Now that's really an outrage. At least some people care about playoff hockey.
  2. Yeah stupid Blackhawks and Bulls making the playoffs. How ridiculous of them. Is that the reason behind all these games this year? I knew it seemed like alot of games this season have been on CSN+ or WCIU, but wasnt exactly sure if that was the reason. Yeah both teams have/had their playoff games broadcast on CSN. Makes sense that there would be a lot of Cubs games on CSN+ since they obviously don't know the playoff schedule beforehand when they make their Cubs schedules. Regular season baseball >> any hockey, unless you're watching the games in person. I'll see the game either way, but televised pucks is right there with NASCAR and golf broadcasts when it comes to viewing entertainment. I'll just take the highlights, thanks.
  3. Yeah, you have the best hitter in the game, and his presence is probably the catalyst that keeps that rattling bucket of spare parts you call a team competitive. Congratulations.
  4. I think most posters finally got fed up with the game threads and decided to never go in there. The lack of Cubs talk in general is appaling. When I click "View New Posts", the majority of posts are non-baseball related. Or those ever annoying "sky is falling"/panic/vent/rant type posts. I think they have more to do with it, to the point where people make up their minds to avoid GT's beforehand. I know that's why I usually avoid them.
  5. They've been playing mediocre teams, and largely winning slugfests, which we all knew would be their M.O. When they run into some good pitching, they won't win a whole lot of games.
  6. I thought Lou should have lifted him after last inning. Guess I was right.
  7. Me too. I really thought I had just witnessed someone become a quadriplegic.
  8. We was down for about 10 minutes, then he was immobilized and carted off on a stretcher.
  9. It actually make me a little bit queasy, and that almost never happens.
  10. Yeah, if he hits the bricks and ivy like that, at best he's a quadriplegic.
  11. Yeah, we were discussing that in our game thread. I saw it live and my first thought was "Oh my god, he broke his neck". Good to hear he had some movement in his extremities. Like I said before, I hate Ankiel, but I hope to God he's all right. You never want to see someone go down like that.
  12. Thank God. You're only going show the second out? Screw you, MLB network.
  13. There has to be at least one baserunner or it's not a Gregg save. Didn't we say that about Woody too? Yeah, but you knew Woody would get out of it. I don't have that confidence in Gregg yet. Well, I'm glad someone did.
  14. I saw that one, but this one made me a little sick when I watched it. You never want to see that sort of thing, regardless of who it is.
  15. Yikes. He hit it low and face first. It looks like a neck injury.
  16. They immobilized him and are carrying him off on a stretcher.
  17. Rick Ankiel just had a scary collision with the wall. He may not be okay.
  18. i'd be swinging as soon as he went into his windup. You guys are crazy. I wouldn't take the bat off of my shoulder.
  19. Man, I called it 4 or 5 innings ago. And if he comes in again tomorrow, he'll do it again.
