    I can't believe Carp missing time comes as a surprise to anyone. The chances that a guy who has only pitched about 20 innings in the past 2 years would produce a full season were really slim to begin with. It sucks for him that it came on a play like that, but better now than in August/September, IMO. He was going to miss time somewhere. If the Cards can hang on until he comes back, it might not be such a good thing for us.

    Last time the CUBS drew 8 walks in a game.... Sun 12 Apr 09 (10 walks) in an 6-4 win at Milwaukee Go CUBS !! during the dusty era you'd have to go back like 2-3 years to get 8 walks in a game. The past couple of games would have made Dusty cry.

    I was just thinking about a team that fielded the most annoying/reviled players in the league. Not just to Cubs fans, but overall. I would start with Pierzynski at catcher, Valverde as closer and Hunter Pence in the OF. That would leave 7 positions and a SP. Any ideas?
