  1. Ichiro is easily my favorite non-Cubs player.

  5. There was, wasn't there?
  6. Bastard. I was planning on doing that all day, except I was going to put Sori's head on the cow.
  7. That is actually a really good photoshop. Funny, of all the ones I just made I spent the least time on it. I was worried almost no one would know what it was.

  10. And I'll spoiler this one for the faint of heart:
  11. All right, late to the party, but: http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd358/Cloudstrife219/SorianoJonestown.jpg
  12. Quit your jealous whining. You forget Albert has to restrain his powerful aura so it doesn't deflect balls away from him as well as actually making the play. He is a god among men. And I called faceman ugly. Understandable. We're all trying our best to cope with not having had a Cub in the derby. Expecting you to contain all that jealous rage would be unreasonable.

  14. I've been at work all day and don't have access to Photoshop right now, or I'd be all over this. :(
  15. I am guessing we'd have to start with something like Vitters Cashner Jackson/Carpenter Thomas/Castro/Burke then probably 2 lower ceiling guys like Hart, Ascanio, Gaub, or Stevens Which would completely decimate what is left of our system. It's just not gonna happen. This. And even then other teams could offer more MLB ready young talent.
  16. If you mean the Cubs should explore it, the pieces just aren't there.
  17. I use photoshop and don't know anything about your program, but I use the pen tool to make a selection and then just delete everything inverse to the selection. Sometimes I'll lower the layer's opacity way down to make it transparent and then use the eraser by hand to erase everything. Create a layer mask (reveal all) and then use the black (darken) paintbrush on the mask to paint over what you want hidden. Then if you screw up, you can just reverse it using a white (lighten) paint brush. That way gives you more control than selecting and deleting or erasing huge chunks and having to undo if you mess up, and nothing is lost permanently. Oh, that was for Photoshop, I don't know anything about Pixelmator.
  18. That's why I don't bother foe'ing people.
  19. Bruce hasn't been what many expected so far, but I'm far from ready to start throwing dirt on his coffin.
  20. There are (and have been) a lot of guys who fall into the "spectacular when healthy" camp. It is unfortunate, but it doesn't count for much.
  21. Not quite the same thing but Kerry Wood was robbed of a no hitter in 1998 because of Kevin Orie booting a ball and it was called a hit. Ugh, don't remind me. IIRC, wasn't that game ranked by Bill James as the most dominant pitching performance ever? Not only should it have been a 20K perfect game, but it was against a team that could really hit. He hit a batter so it wouldn't have been a perfect game anyway. As far as best game, Wood got a game score of 105 for that outing, the highest ever in a nine inning game. I forgot. The funny thing is that I usually watched every game, but my friend and I decided to go golfing that day instead (and it rained), and returned to see only the ninth inning. I've probably watched 1,500 Cubs games from start to finish over the past 11-12 years, and the one I most would have liked to have seen I missed because I wanted to go golfing on a rainy day and forgot to tape it. To this day I have not seen it in it's entirety.

  23. Uh, no, I am not. How exactly am I a "homer". To be fair there were a bunch of moronic Cub fans spouting the same idiocy. I love that bit about there errors. He did get the outs. He induced grounders right to his defenders. I love that "knows how to win" and "gets outs when he needs to" garbage. You can safely bet that if the same thing had happened to Carpenter, we'd be hearing all about how his defense let him down after he made the pitches he needed to.
