http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3082513 Until the Lakers back off their demands some, this won't happen. Good that is an absolutely ridiculous asking price. I'd love Kobe, but absolutely no way in hell for that price. +1 There's no reason for us to make that trade, it's ridiculous. Without Kobe, we're still an exciting young team with a good shot at going deep in the playoffs in the East. On the other hand, without trading Kobe the Lakers are pretty much guaranteed of maxxing out at one-and-done in the West. It's the Lakers who are more desperate for this trade, not us. Let's not act like it's the other way around, 'cuz it isn't. Besides, I don't buy that we're done developing yet. I don't buy into this crap about Tyrus Thomas not having a good preseason. It's PRESEASON. He'll be improved this year, and even more next year. I'm sure of it. I also think Deng has more upside to explore. We could conceivably be better this year than last year, and I don't see anyone else improved in the East at all, other than Boston but I don't think they'll have the bench to compete late in the year.
