  1. It's a flag fest extraordinaire.
  2. That's another pass that should have been caught. Panthers are misfiring as much as the Bears are stopping them. If they get their act together this game might turn around in a bad way.
  3. What is it with the Lions anyway? They've got talent on that squad, it's Marinelli's 3rd year. They should be better than this. I fully expect the Packers to tear them apart today.
  4. Brenly's not incredible but I can handle this. I enjoy the TV broadcast.
  5. I do believe one day there's going to be some kind of massive point-shaving scandal uncovered in college football. I've seen way too many of these......."home"....calls. Just my opinion. Anyone remember that "home clock" deal in Lansing? That's a real good example. Total B.S., nothing done about it.
  6. Hahahah. And then Fres goes right down the field.
  7. I wouldn't quite go that far, but the call was atrocious. I can't think of one ever that was worse. Seriously. Wow.
  8. Oh. My. God. Complete and total rip off. Payoff-level officiating. Just simply the worst call in the history of football. There should be an investigation.
  9. What's there to challenge? That's as much of a fumble as any there has ever been in the history of all football.
  10. You mean the Coliseum, not the Rose Bowl. USC and the Coliseum are at the very northern edge of South Central LA, one of the worst neighborhoods in the U.S. They're about 5 miles from Watts. The Rose Bowl is in a very affluent neighborhood in northwestern Pasadena. Yes this. I think they talk about it once a week on the Lex and Terry show. I just always pictured USC being in a very nice area even though I knew about it. If USC remains the same as I remember it when I lived in LA, the campus itself is indeed very nice. But it's like a walled-off facility. Pretty strong security at the gates. UCLA, on the other hand, is open, in a very exclusive area (Westwood....close to Beverly Hills), and is absolutely beautiful. What can I say, Soul? Your memory is impeccable, you remember correctly. Cool. You can never tell. The 1990's are almost ancient history now :)
  11. A sweep of the Brewers would wipe six games off of the magic number. Tomorrow could wipe out 3 games too. Though that would pull the phillies into a tie for the wild card and potientially the Cubs playing them in the 1st round. Something I would not be excited about. They aren't that scary. We can take 'em. I might prefer having the CC/Sheets combo taken out before they can do damage in the playoffs.

  13. Fres driving.
  14. I've heard the same "we should be rooting for the Cubs" talk in Madison.
  15. I don't doubt it. Cub fans are awesome.
  16. Wisc/Ill/PSU all potential losses. They'll never beat the Badgers @ Camp Randall without a completely healthy Wells and a much better effort. I feel comfortable saying that right now. Illinois didn't look good today, but if they get their act together that could be another very tough road game for the Buckeyes.
  17. Going to turn out to be a pretty bad weekend for the big 10 if Wisc doesn't win this game. OSU was always going to happen that way. But the Badgers need to be able to win this one.
  18. think about the radio though. theres more excitement in Ron Santo's pinkie than that booth. I suppose I mis-spoke earlier because DJ has apparently only been "offered" the radio job, but yeah that booth would be unimaginably bad if it happens.
  19. The key to avoiding a complete turn by the fans in a situation like this is to find a scapegoat and crucify him. Yost is the obvious lightning rod. He'll get fired, everyone will blame the collapse on him. They'll rationalize it by pointing to what happened to the Mets in '07, and how they turned it around in '08 once Randolph was fired. What the Mets have done this year after replacing the manager will give Brewer fans hope for '09 once Yost is run out of town.I'm not sure all of it would be rationalization...
  20. I wouldn't get home until well after midnight in all likelihood. It might be the right thing to do as a Cubs fan, but it's the wrong thing to do as an employee. But that's just me. If you can swing it, then definitely go.
  21. Game over. Switching to Wisc/Fres
  22. Yeah, great seats available right behind home plate. I'm not going to go either. Too late on Sunday.
  23. Great weather, national exposure, proven path to the NFL, hot chicks and a hell of a football tradition. Why would a stud recruit want to go anywhere else? Seriously, the only reason a recruit wouldn't want to go there is because he could be an NFL prospect and sit the bench all 4 years.
  24. Um, OSU recovered the football?
