  1. That does shed some light on it. I guess we'll just have to see how it all shakes out. It will be interesting to see what happens come TC. I suppose 1st team reps in OTA's doesn't mean a whole lot, especially when we're talking about a position that is in flux.
  2. Seriously Cyno. It's one thing to hate Crosby. But donning a Wings avatar? That's too far man. The Wings are the enemy.
  3. Look at the bottom of that lineup. http://www.ifa.hawaii.edu/~barnes/ast110_06/bhaq/Black_Hole_Milkyway.jpg
  4. +1 Congrats, Roger.
  5. It's really tough to watch how overmatched Fonty looks in some of these ABs.
  6. Lee might be our best chance for the equalizer. Hell with it. Send him.
  7. For a major league debut? That's a standing O anywhere. It's questionable whether that was actually a major league debut.
  8. I guess holding a severely gimped lineup to 2 runs in 6 innings is grounds for a standing O in Cincy.
  9. Probably lands on the warning track without the blubber.
  10. I could use a few days off from this team, but there's nothing else out there now to hold my interest.
  11. Is this guy supposed to be a top prospect for the Reds? Because his stuff doesn't seem all that great to me.
  12. Being a 4th rounder, he may very well have had all that potential, but never even got a shot to play. That happens to plenty of guys. There are surely many players who could have contributed in the right situation, but sat on depth charts for a few years and then just cut.
  13. I agree. I don't argue Marshall is good, but there's no way Eddie Royal has that kind of year without Cutler tossing him the rock. I'll be shocked and floored if he puts up numbers with Orton.
  14. I pick Hundley because not only was he horrible, but he took it to another level with the fans.
  15. I'm no Mort fan, and these early summer practices don't really tell you much, but this is what I'm expecting out of the receivers. I've had my differences with Angelo's decisions, but he's absolutely right when he talks about it starting with the QB. Everybody loves Brandon Marshall, but he was a 4th rounder. You think Brandon Marshall would be Brandon Marshall if he was drafted in the 4th round by the Bears in 2006? I sure don't. Do you think Eddie Royal comes close to the rookie season he had if he's playing for the Bears last year? A QB absolutely can make a WR. I'm taking Mort's words as sacrosanct, unimpeachable truth that will surely manifest itself on the field this fall.
  16. He's not. He's starting WITH him right now. Payne at strong, Steltz at free. That won't last though. Steltz doesn't have nearly enough speed and coverage skills for FS. I actually think Steltz is the worst option for FS of the current DB group, save for Vasher who can't tackle anymore. Oh, I must have misunderstood. I thought he was saying if Graham was given FS, then Steltz would get SS. Which -- seems to me like if Graham gets FS, you put Payne @ SS and CUT Steltz.
  17. He's really not that fat. I think his face is more pudgy than the rest of his body. He's probably eating better since the heart problem.
  18. Get him. I agree with the overall sentiment that we're in pretty big trouble at Safety. Anyway, why would Steltz start over Payne? Payne can hit a little, I'd give him SS over Steltz any time.
  19. No. They signed someone. Didn't they? Yeah. Glenn & Bullocks. Got to be better than Steltz.
  20. That does sound pretty bad.
  21. I think Turner's full of it. The guy has pain behind his knee and felt a pop. That's not normal. Color me concerned. They rode the guy like crazy last year. To think there's not going to be wear & tear from that is hallucinatory. Granted, Forte got a lot of carries at Tulane too, but I don't think you can assume the work last year is completely destroying a 23-year old. A couple more years of the same usage and there is a serious problem. Even if it is a tear of some sort, he has 8 weeks before camp and should be healthy in time to start the season. Less work at camp probably won't hurt him much either. I just can't see there being no concern. Of course there's concern.

  23. I always thought McLouth was pretty good. Admittedly I haven't looked at his numbers though. I was surprised when they mentioned the trade last night.
