  1. Well, I know something bad is probably coming.
  2. He had a 3.52 ERA and 9 K in 7.2 innings coming in to today's game. I think he realized it already. Yea I think everyone remembers his outing when he beaned the 1st 2 guys, but other than that little hiccup, Ascanio has been really good. Also hes been really good, while getting limited work. I wonder if he could become the new Marmol if the old Marmol doesn't start pitching more like the old Marmol. Why do you hate Angel Guzman? guz for closer, haha!
  3. Just don't swing and pray for 4 balls, Blanco.

  5. At least it wasn't yet another dribbler on the ground.
  6. If the management of this team thinks Aaron freaking Miles is going to come in and help our offense, then that says all that needs to be said about our front office and Lou. They thought hed be able to replace DeRosa without a problem, so you never kno whats going on in that war room. To me, it became pretty clear from Hendry's words about why the DeRosa deal was done that he doesn't have the money, and doesn't have the permission, to make any big moves.
  7. If one good thing can come out of this debacle, maybe Ascaino will realize he can be a good reliever in this league.
  8. Yeah. It also qualifies as a nice big fat cherry on top of this mess.
  9. Just hit a dribbler to 3B, we don't have the ability to field and throw to home anyway, as was proven yesterday.
  10. i don't want to lose, but how can we possibly win anyway? at this point i just want to get on with my day
  11. Sorry Reds fans, but if he's going to call that pitch for Reds pitching then he better damn well call it for us too, at least occasionally.
  12. Hard to accept, but it's looking more & more like our playoff window has closed.
  13. In its current configuration? I'm not so sure.
  14. Ready for an offensive explosion cub fans? 8-)
  15. Does reed know how terrible his swing is? It's like some little leaguer swatting at the ball or something
  16. Misperception that it will help a crap offense, plus just desperation/no more answers
  17. Got home just in time to see this club blow it again. Please arrive sooner, football season
  18. +1 Congrats, Roger. Made the finals in 15 of the last 16 majors, unreal. I think the question is, can he get to 20 majors before his career is over? I doubt it. I think 16-17 is his peak. He's going to be 28 in August and has to deal with Nadal, Murray and Djokovic, all of whom are four-five years younger than he is. Federer probably has 2-3 good years left in him and I'm not sure he can win, on average, every other major over that time (6 out of 12) to reach 20. I'm giving him 5 years, thats where I get that number but yes its going to be very tough. Wimbledon and the US Open are still great chances for him. I just think based on his style of play and health he has the potential to stick around and even reinvent himself. I keep wondering if Nadal's knees are going to hold up. They bothered him a few years ago during a championship match @ Wimbledon, and now I hear they are bothering him again. Nadal might be young and a fantastic tennis player, but knee problems are never a good sign. Roger appears to still be in pretty good health.
