    Maybe Warren is the head of the snake that needs to be cut off. If Poles isn’t a trusted GM then the guy who hired him is also questionable.

    They’ve been firing in the wrong direction all along. They should start with Poles. Not with Waldron.

    They did give up 31 points although 7 can be attributed to a bad INT that put GB deep in their zone. They didn’t play great, but their offense picked them up and especially at the end, the gamble in 4th down was brilliant to keep the defense from having to hold up.

    There is no trust. The Bears don’t deserve any kind of benefit of the doubt. After all, we are in this mess because they borked up an obvious decision last offseason and instead kept Flus for god-knows-what misguided reason.

    The league wants to protect players. This seems like low hanging fruit. Match up the suspension with the IR stint. The offending player can return when the injured player does.

    I’m for giving Thomas Brown a full shot. That is, let’s see what happens with this extended audition and if it looks good he’s as valid a candidate as anyone.

    Especially since HC candidates will put a premium on teams with a budding star at QB.

    Yep. It’s the Bears. Can’t be winners acting like this. It’s not even an endorsement of mediocrity, it’s an inability to do what needs to be done. Friggin losers. I hate being along for this ride. Hate hate hate.

    50/50. That’s because I need to see it from this organization before I’ll believe it. A good organization would never have allowed Everflub to captain the ship this year.

    And now he’s so far down that road it doesn’t matter if he starts acknowledging mistakes. It’s just too late. The time to learn has passed.

    Meh, I’ve seen too many teams, especially the Bears, deviate from consensus to not give Poles credit for the decision to select Williams.

    What gives me pause about firing Poles is that he selected Caleb and I know it’s early, but he’s fighting through significant headwinds and looking pretty good.

    I feel like it’s too late for Flus to learn. He ain’t it. Weak sauce. He’s one of these guys who may look the part but there’s no substance.

    Me too. His performances aren’t receiving the attention they deserve. The only thing bugging me is that it seems to take until the 2nd half for him to click. But I’m not sure how much of that is him, or scheme, or both.
