  1. He’s not at all what I had in mind. But it’s difficult to ignore the SB and all the playoff appearances. He’d want total control, probably.
  2. I feel like the games lately have been mostly crap, between these and the CFP.
  3. I don't get that either. INTs should crush a QB's whatever ranking. Cousins is about equal in TDs/INTs. Without looking at anything else, that should tank him on the list of starting QBs. Having 4 times the TDs to INTs, on the other hand, should shoot a QB up the list. Obviously I'm putting huge weight on the scale in favor of that stat but honestly who is leading a great passing offense without a wide spread TD/INT? The closest are probably Love or Mahomes but both of those guys are still double the TDs.
  4. I’m on board with that too. But I expect if Johnson doesn’t come here we will hear something about the Bears not willing to give him the autonomy he felt he needed.
  5. If I’m Johnson one thing that weighs positively in the Bears’ direction is seeing Caleb do what he’s doing in a complete train wreck situation. It’s a huge piece the Bears have that other bottom dwellers won’t.
  6. That Caleb passing line is all that matters to me. Didn’t watch this game but who cares. Caleb threw for a buttload of yards and no INTS. Full stop. This entire FO needs to go. They lucked into Williams and he’s had to find his way to a solid rookie season swimming upstream against opponents and his own woeful team. Other than a QB who succeeds against all odds, they’ve been an abortion.
  7. Super glad this one isn’t on in Madison. Can get some horsefeathers done.

    NFL Week 15

Oh man Dell blew his knee in the worst way.
  9. Look at the Chargers. 5 wins last year. Hire the right coach. If they win tonight (likely), it’s a clear path to 11-6. We absolutely should expect a great season next year. Not incremental improvement.
  10. I wanted Daboll. Don't listen to anything I say ever again.
  11. When he started going on about how Poles put together a good roster as Caleb was running for his life and Darold having cup of coffee surveying the field, I wondered if he went blind. Poles has ignored and/or been incompetent putting together a great OL and DL. Not much problem with the skill players and LB/DBs, but it starts up front.
  12. LOL all you can do is laugh.
  13. I mean a coordinator doesn’t get a bunch of bites at the apple. Accept a terrible situation at your own risk.
  14. And just relying on luck.
  15. He wouldn’t. It’s going to have to be a candidate who isn’t on a lot of people’s top coach prospects.
  16. 2024 will forever be remembered as the season the Bears discovered new ways to lose football games.
  17. Men against boys.
  18. Everything is so hopelessly broken I can’t even assess. I thought Caleb was going to be seriously injured there. Stop dropping him back. Nothing good is going to happen.
  19. Yeah I don't want to see another game where the Bears figure out a way to lose. It's too much of a mindF*** for me, and I've seen enough for one year.
  20. Definitely go no huddle and quick passing / screens as much as possible. These deep drops are just scramble plays at this point. I think Caleb just expects to go into backyard football now on those. What I see is night-and-day difference in his execution.
  21. Yep. His on field heroism created a life of angst for me too.

    NFL Week 15

At this point we are in that all-too-familiar position of wanting losses more than wins because of higher draft picks. I never root for that though. I just can't. But every win will push us down the draft board.

    NFL Week 15

Not just the coach though. It's the entire org, from the top all the way down. It's hard to hire the right coach when the top execs don't have their s*** together. Best coaching candidates aren't dumb, they know the situation they'd be coming in to. And leadership doesn't know how to identify the best anyway. I mean it's not impossible, but much much more difficult to strike gold.

    NFL Week 15

Packers’ game plan is the same most games. Opening drive run run run. Defense pulls guys in. Then open up the playbook. It works as long as you can run effectively and they usually do.
  25. This is gonna suuuuuck. 42-10 Vikings. This team is done competing. After last week I can’t even say they are mailing it in.
