  1. It was supposed to be humorous, pre-game banter. But thanks mr perfect. huh? i was referring to the way the media was acting like a changed man after last week. i wasn't referring to anything on this board. lol I used those exact words. Except I hate the Cowboys and Romo -- I was just half-hoping the dolt would show up today to beat [expletive] Favre.

  3. Agreed after the first period. I'll take a win in Detroit any day though. Detroit never lead in the game. It was a road game against a divisional rival. That's hardly "stealing one.". It's winning a tough road game in hostile territory.
  4. i dunno, this game has been pretty fun. I have no dog in this fight, so a generally non-competitive game = BORING I'm with you. Other than GB/AZ, this playoff season has been one of the least entertaining I can remember. Hopefully next week picks up. Now I'm rooting for SD because the Jets will just provide more boredom next week if they pull an upset. Let's just get the few actual good teams together and see if we can salvage this.
  5. There's a pulse for Dallas, but it is very weak.
  6. Should be a good 3rd period here.
  7. Playing poorly would be one thing, but to show up in a huge playoff game and just hand the ball to the Vikes repeatedly is inexcusable.
  8. Dallas picked a bad time to go back into their shell. Just about one step away from Vikes/Saints for the NFC Championship.
  9. Crap! Two penalties in a row
  10. Crap! Two penalties in a row
  11. Detroit is getting good pressure here.
  12. It was, but also a poor play by the DB who never turned back. It actually looked to me like he never even realized his man caught the ball, even after he went into the end zone.
  13. Jesus...same as that southern indiana kid. If that's true then I have to wonder why it wasn't detected in a physical. Because an enlarged heart is not that hard to discover. Not like some of the more subtle heart defects.
  14. Your kicker sucks Dallas
  15. Then by extension you must also be saying the Bears wasted that 2nd rounder on Adams, tragic death aside
  16. It's usually the HC that chooses his assistant staff, and Lovie is still the HC. But the theory was the OC would have autonomy over the offense. Lovie doesn't know anything about offense. But they've kept a couple assistants and just hired a new one without OC input, which tells me the OC is going to have less autonomy than anticipated. That's sort of the catch 22 situation they are in. They need a guy who could be the de facto offensive HC, but with these circumstances the available candidates aren't likely to be up to it. Unless it was Martz.... I'm guessing more than ever this means Martz is in the background; not a top choice right now.
  17. Bwahah! Good start.
  18. I got the feeling they wanted Gilbert as an eventual 3 technique replacement for Tommie Harris, not really DE. We don't even know if Gilbert or Melton are anything more than depth players at this point

  20. Perhaps it is too early, but now that Angelo's plan to shore up DE has blown up, something will need to be done. Alex Brown is alright but Anderson can't handle starting at DE, and Izzy can't either. Plus, we can't play Izzy everywhere to shore up more and more deficiencies. There's also little depth at DE, even if Melton steps up. With the plethora of other needs on this team and few draft picks to fill them, this just puts the Bears in an even more difficult position. Condolences to the Adams family.
  21. I don't know the rules on that, but I don't recall it happening in the past.
  22. He was 26. Lordy.
  23. Just heard this on the score. Just unbelievable.
  24. did you see our OLine this year? This is definitely a solid hire, and an upgrade. Tice has a real history of success coaching OLine at this level.
  25. So far everything is proceeding according to script. I'm hoping for one upset this weekend. And I'm hoping it's Dallas.
