    Muuuch more solid, sustained effort last night. Keep doing this and not much else will matter: the Preds will be down to hoping for lucky bounces and bad ref calls.

    I feel like we need more than a goal lead. Yes, they may have played well but failure to score can mean the difference between winning and going home after losing the opening series.

    I guess "or else" was supposed to mean "or else you become a bench player." Doubtful. I also heard Kaplan say last night he expects Soriano will be released in the next 12 months. I found that to be an incredibly wild statement to make. Ricketts is really going to eat $72 million dollars?

Of course, but that doesn't really answer his question. Sure Lou should make the right call to win ballgames, but that doesn't mean it doesn't say anything about Soriano and his contract, which is the (ever continuing) point when it comes to Fonz.

    There are. Lou doesn't know how to use them. Caridad, for example, would be very useful when our starter has just given up a slam and we're now down by 10.

    I feel stupid for not saying it before the season: I definitely felt like Marmol would be less wild in the closer role.
