    Damn. This guy is a star. I wonder if it’s a case where the perfect manager showed up just in time to take PCA to the next level.

    Yeah, I’m for it provided it’s not an insane $$$/years.

    He never fumbled a single time in college. His #s steadily improved each year, and he wound up leading the B1G in yardage in 2023, then put up similar #’s in 2024. This was with Rutgers. He’s got to have something going for him to overcome what was going on around him. Maybe he flew under the radar to an extent because of where he played. He’s 7th round, I’d say given where he was picked it’s a solid selection regardless of what happens.

    I think that’s what happened. They thought they’d get Henderson and he went right before. So they traded 41 back thinking at least one of the EDGE picks would be there, but they were all gone. I think they should have just kept 41 and picked EDGE. They’ll never say it though but that seems like a reasonable explanation. I don’t think they got what they hoped for from this draft

    I’m not a fan of the end result but I was OK with getting two 2nd rounders for one.

    Basically they trade back to get an extra 2nd round pick then traded back again to get an extra later pick.

    Cubs have the best run differential in MLB, are the only team over .500 against winning teams in the division, and other than 3 games have only played winning teams.

    They obviously feel like they’re going to destroy QBs every Sunday. No need to take EDGE

    Maybe it’s mostly not seeing a great value/position pick available at 41 so they move back and gain an extra later in the 2nd. I’ll withhold judgement on this for now.

    I read 4-6 months. Hopefully closer to 4.

    Loveland played with a pretty serious shoulder dislocation most of last year, which required surgery/ reconstruction in January. I guess the doctors said it’s going to be fine but I have a little PTSD when it comes to the Bears using a 1st round pick on a player with an injury issue. My sister and nephew are UM alums and are stoked by the pick. I would rather have taken Warren. We’ll see…

    The lack of top competition does give me just a twinge of concern for Jeanty. I don’t think he will be there anyway.

    F’in F that disease. RIP to a great Bear and a completely authentic guy. I’m glad to say I had the chance to briefly meet Steve at training camp years ago. Exactly the same person with or without the cameras. Bear down brother.
