  1. Sweet. Bout time this team starts performing.
  2. Field is like an ice rink now, wow.
  3. Yep it was the most shameless whistle ever trying to protect old man favre. Ref forgot there's no streak to protect. Force of habit.
  4. Never. Minny found a novel way around it: just get your state courts to declare that NFL rules are optional. Worked like a charm. So the whole team is probably doping now. And the Twins, too. Great. I'd ask that the Illinois courts do the same the next time a Bear is caught. But I'm not sure Illinois has the money to pay judges anymore.
  5. Never. Minny found a novel way around it: just get your state courts to declare that NFL rules are optional. Worked like a charm.
  6. Yeah, punting makes no sense. Why?
  7. Man, that was some kind of hit by Harris! I don't think the Vikes have anything to lose. They have to go for it.
  8. Because it's OUR offensive line as opposed to one that is good.
  9. YES. Bout damn time.
  10. Can we get a lick of defense please? What the eff happened to this group?
  11. Knew it, I did. Devastating, this is. Crappy, we are.
  12. Someone took a hell of a tanker on that, but I think it was a Viking.
  13. I'm not devoted to him. I'll want Webb to start the next two games. First outdoor home game in my lifetime, throwback uniforms, snow bowl and a chance to maybe derail the Bears fan while pissing them off and most of the football loving world? [expletive] yeah. I'm pumped for this. And he didn't set this franchise back. If it would have been Tarvaris/Sage the last two years we don't get as close as we did, there probably would have been blackouts and the team would have been more likely to move. You realized most of th football loving world will not be pissed off about the Vikings, they will be pissed off because of the biggest douchebag in sports. In 10 years people will barely remember he one played for the Vikings I don't know. He contributed to a legit shot at the Super Bowl. They just blew it, that's all.
  14. Adrian Peterson: "oooooh, leg tweak. Sorry coach can't go." Favre: "bullcrap. it's blue. big deal. yeah, it pops out every once in awhile. so? I'm playing."
  15. Irregardless Irregardless IRREGARDLESS
  16. Man, it's really starting to snow here in Madtown. I can only imagine it's snowing harder in Minny. Damn, this game is starting to have that armageddon feel to it. It's coming! Showdown in the snow! All of Viking-dom and Packer-dom united against us!! Favre dragging himself from the grave to fight us!
  17. This has the potential to be the weirdest game of the weird.
  18. Who is probably going to be even worse in those conditions. It is probably easier to be a quick and shifty aggressor in those conditions rather than a quick and shifty pursuer. Yeah, but he/they suck. Hopefully. No one really knows. Probably not even the Vikes. Plus, he could suck but just look decent this one game.
  19. I thought I heard some noise about the Vikes wanting to limit Adrian Peterson due to the conditions. But that might have just been rumor mill junk.
  20. seriously, why is everyone so annoyed by TCF? is it because you wanted them to play in Detroit? Indy? I know you're treating it like your baby, but you have to realize that a stadium in Minneapolis that doesn't have concession stands or bathrooms meant to be used in freezing weather is idiotic, and that's not touching a field that shouldn't be used in this weather (leaving aside the question of whether or not that's bad design). it also means a home crowd that will likely be out of the game by mid-2nd quarter, barring colossal failure on our part True, the Vikings are getting screwed terribly in home advantage and, almost certainly, financially, by the stadium situation, Last week proved that snowy, cold conditions don't favor the Bears. I don't give a hoot what happens to the Vikings financially as a result of this. That's their problem. Look, the Bears should win this game. But there are 44 players on the offense/defense squads. 42 of them are not QBs. If we learned anything this season, it's that teams can pull off wins with depth chart QBs (Detroit), or at least put up a solid effort (GB). All I'm saying is that this game is not a given. If the Bears treat it that way, I wouldn't be surprised to see them lose. Maybe it isn't the end of the world if it happens, but it would be a huge missed opportunity for a club that isn't really impressing anyone heading down the stretch.
  21. Yea but the lack of turnovers is simple luck, Al. Nothing more.
