  1. But he made that start now didn't he. You betcha.
  2. Hello defense -- time to wake up, thanks.
  3. Yeah. There's a nice misdirection.
  4. Freaking Bennett man. What the hell has gotten into him?
  5. I'll take that, but with Taylor I expected to see him make more people miss. He goes down too easy when it's 1 on 1.
  6. Good to know we not only can't block good teams, but the Lions too.
  7. Nice kick. Way to play to your competition, Bears.
  8. Geez at least make the damn tackles you are supposed to. I realize Morris will be heading to Canton soon but he's just a man, not a god.
  9. OK, that's better. This defense needs to take back control over Drew Stanton and his band of hall of famers.
  10. OK check that, why they wouldn't bring pressure there is beyond me but thanks.
  11. 3rd & LONG, here they come.
  12. This is incredible. Did they practice this week or just sit around and read their own press clippings?
  13. UConn's got to be the worst or close. Seems like there will be some interesting BCS matchups this year though. I'm actually looking forward to it.
  14. Mucho props to Lupica for his parting shot on Santo this morning on Sports Reporters. Somehow coming from a New Yorker it meant that much more. I teared up a little.
  15. Well, I know little about WC - but Qatar certainly doesn't do much to raise my level of interest.
  16. Man. We really do have the luck.
  17. oh, i'm not saying it inhibits their chances of making the super bowl in any way. i just don't like the idea of everyone talking super bowl because we're 8-3. i haven't really heard much about the super bowl from the wisconsin media regarding the packers, nor have i heard much super bowl talk from packers players. so the jets are talking super bowl, that doesn't surprise me. rex ryan has a big mouth and isn't afraid to brag a little bit. i'm sure both he and they will be humiliated when the jets inevitably screw things up. Well, it's not like Pittsburgh stays hush about the Super Bowl, or the people around New England for that matter. It's better than "contend within the division talk". pittsburgh and new england can pretty much say whatever they want and not sound silly. everyone's goal should be the super bowl, everyone should say that their goal is to get to the super bowl, not everyone should talk like they're super bowl contenders after they win a some games in a row. It's one of those things where if they talk about it and succeed, I'll say they're brilliant. If they talk about it and fall on their faces, I'll say they should have shut up. The reality is it probably doesn't make much difference.
  18. http://www.csnchicago.com/pages/video?PID=8jF52FxUEAGWjhtuFroNMkoDiEXIS3Ba CSN did it this morning. Okay, that was the saddest I felt all day. Yeah.
  19. What was I missing when he played for the Vikings? He didn't seem to do that against us...
  20. It won't be the same? So you will hate them more? I think Marty is probably the last person I care to hear from on Ron Santo.
  21. Mentally challenged? No. But he was challenged mentally, as we all are, by Cub fandom :)
  22. Yes, someone will get to do that Pat Hughes interview today, and I'd really really like to hear it.
  23. He was supposed to be this amazing pass catching back, too. On screens he hasn't seemed all that impressive either. If they knew Forte would come back this strong they likely wouldn't have signed him. It's true -- without the Peppers signing this would have been a horrible offseason. Thank goodness Julius is performing.
  24. Taylor has been rather worthless. Is it just me or is he suddenly unable to even keep his feet under him? I feel like he's going to tip over or something, every time he gets the ball. Maybe Bell was suggesting something along those lines -- umm, maybe you ought to think about showing up for a change, Chester. You aren't exactly impressing anyone around Halas Hall.
  25. There's lots of great stories about Ron signing autographs & such. I also remember him leaning over from the booth at Miller Park to sign people's stuff. He probably should have been prepping for the broadcast :) Of course, we all know Ron's broadcasts were just a stream of emotion. That's all I ever needed from him. Just.....be a Cub fan, say what we're all feeling. That's it. Ronnie did that.
