  1. Siciliano just announced that tomorrow's Vikes/Giants game will be on NFLST for subscribers. Awesome.
  2. It doesn't matter because Detroit is about as potent as a neutered dog.
  3. Unless the Eagles fall back to earth and the Giants take the division. In that case I don't really care if the Giants are winning games. Hey, I can hope.
  4. It's not a DirecTV problem. Power is out at the station itself. --Meaning there's no option for Madison area Packer fans unless they have NFLST, or head out to the bar: http://host.madison.com/sports/football/professional/article_c7e11edc-0619-11e0-8777-001cc4c002e0.html
  5. The local Madison Fox affiliate isn't broadcasting through DirecTV right now. Meaning a whole bunch of Packer fans are freaking out right now in Madtown. DirecTV has opened up the NFLST feed for ST subscribers though (it would normally be blacked out on that channel). Madison's Fox channel is well-known for horrible technical problems. A few years ago they had terrible audio problems that went on for about 2 months, and couldn't find a solution. The entire channel was basically unwatchable......for 2 *MONTHS*. LOL.
  6. Well, it's collapsed before. I've been to that stadium a couple times. It's a giant turd, although by the standards of the time it was built it was a decent venue once upon a time. At this point it needs to be razed to the ground in the worst way. I think just about everyone knows that.
  7. Yeah, sounds like they're leaning that way. They have all the essential personnel in place for the Packers/Lions game today, and sounds like they'll just keep them in place one more day for the game tomorrow night. My money is on the game being played in Detroit. So, whats the attendance going to be at this game? I'd guess somewhere around 15K. Might pick up some locals for the novelty of it. How far is upstate new York? Some may drive on short notice. I'll go 20-25k
  8. I'll say it right now: I hope Favre keeps playing and the injuries keep piling up. Because at this point I feel like TJ is the more effective option. I hope they choose to play that game outdoors at Univ. Of Minnesota. But I think they'll likely fly both teams to Detroit.
  9. Possibly Ford Field, they say.
  10. I find football to be very watchable without sound. About the only thing I miss is the roar of the crowd. Certainly the announcers are optional.
  11. Ahh, apparently the GMen weren't traveling with all their equipment so it needs to be another dome.
  12. Even if it isn't snowing, the wind up here right now is swirling and strong. If it's like this in Chicago, any long passes, FGs, kickoffs, etc will be......adventurous. I love this though. Football in horrible conditions is what we do :)
  13. St Louis isn't far away, and it's a dome with turf that can host a game quickly. I'd stay away from putting an extra game on a grass field this time of year. But I'm sure any of the teams in the region will help out if they can. BTW, confirmed no one was hurt. But is this stadium safe for people in a snowstorm? I'm starting to wonder.
  14. Posts like this miss me miss Cynosure and the reaction he would have had to this. I also would have loved to see his reaction to winning the Cup. Where are you Cyno. Why can't they review that kind of play and make it a goal? It's an obvious blown call, and the whistle didn't change anything. It's a flat out goal and should be corrected as such.
  15. I know, it's reaching tomahawk-chop levels of stupidity. Nobody even cares that he played in SJ now. He's fully a Hawk - the fact that he was a Shark is relegated to obscure trivia question at this point.
  16. If anyone can figure out how to make the ball slip out of their hands, while making it stick to ours, please contact Halas Hall immediately.
  17. LOL, and he caught it behind his back. I missed that. Awesome man.
  18. And a fourth quarter comeback over that 2-10 team is I guess what won them over. Maybe they're playing the letdown card on the Pats...
  19. Well, they're showing an ounce of spirit at the moment...
  20. One or two year deals, or one year deals with an option, don't seem very risky to me, even if the dollars are fairly high. I mean yes - you're putting payroll up for next year. But I don't think our problem has been finding money at all. It's been being locked in a cast-iron box by knowing we'll have to pay tons of wasted money for relatively low performers, for years on end. I'd seriously consider Webb for short term money. Just like the Pena deal seems reasonable to me. Does Ricketts feel this way too? I don't know. We're not a poor club. Just a club in need of sanity & flexibility from year to year. God it's amazing how time flies. I can't believe it's been 2 years since Webb has been pitching.
  21. I would think NFL.com would stream these games, but no. This week I don't really care, but sometimes they have a decent matchup.
  22. Well this was him in game 1 of this season. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjh3plXR6AE That's kind of directed at his own team I guess. It's funny :)
  23. I'll take wins any way I can get them, but it's very noticeable that the Hawks give up their lead when they get it. Eh. Just keep fighting, let's see what happens as the calendar turns to 2011 and our guys get healthy (hopefully).
  24. Is it really that big an issue that $5million of the contract is deferred until 2012? This club still musters up a pretty good punch financially. I don't think this $5million is going to force the Cubs into a corner financially, regardless of where or when it is paid.
  25. Maybe I've just been missing it, but it seems like Rivers has been toning down his act more recently. I haven't seen any of the over-the-top, red-faced screaming on the sidelines that I used to from him. I still don't see the same thing people talk about with Cutler. I've never felt his body language was all that bad, or that he's a "petulant child" or anything like that. But, since so many others keep saying it, I assume there's something I just don't mind, that others do. At any rate, win me some football games. Beyond that, unless you're being hauled off to jail? Don't really care.
