  1. Except that I believe we're hoping for NY to overtake PHI for the division since we hold the tiebreaker over PHI.
  2. Well of course I don't want him to step up if he is going to get clobbered. Did you really think I meant that? I think jay throws off his back foot a lot more that when it is imperative. If he can maintain the kind of low-turnover consistency he has shown the past several games, I don't see why it matters. He's proven that he *can* do it. So if he does it, then his passing form is not really an issue. Any more than it would be with other non-traditional, successful QBs. It's not the source of trouble. Decision-making consistency is where the focus should be.
  3. I wish people would get it out of their heads that a QB has to display perfect form on his throws or he isn't good. There are a wide variety of methods in the NFL for success -- especially at the QB position.
  4. Maybe it's just the Madison station but I've felt like they have been cutting out game action with local commercial breaks all day long. Thank God for NFLST.
  5. Well, now we're into the 2nd half and the Raiders still look much better than the Chargers.
  6. By definition? What's the definition you're using? I never felt like we were in danger of losing it. Are you trying to argue that I didn't feel that way? The definition is that if the game ended, we would have a lower score than our opponents. I wasn't attempting to argue what you felt, but the fact is, we were behind.
  7. HAHA this better not be true. There should be no hesitance in doing any deal involving Colvin for a much better well established player. Colvin is far far far from being someone Hendry is scared to deal. Come on Seriously.
  8. Is the Padres/Red Sox deal dead, or just status unclear? Now I'm confused.
  9. We were down by 6 in the 3rd quarter, so by definition we were in danger of losing it.
  10. His next chance is a year from now. The Veterans Committee now votes on a three-year rotation and this year the vote is for players whose best years were in the 1970s and later. Of course I want him to get in, but it will piss me off a little that they will have forced it to be posthumous. I want him in, even though it will have come too late.
  11. This is awesome - 21-3 now. I'm trying not to get too excited because the Raiders are more than capable of blowing this lead. I'm rooting for you. Of course, that means you're doomed 8-)
  12. When he started to have no time in the pocket and [expletive] options. I think he's been able to hold it together for longer than other QBs would have, but now it's just too much. There's just not enough help for *anyone* to be able to shine consistently, even the great Peyton Manning.
  13. I'm willing to concede that the Lions are better than their record, based on the fact that it isn't only the Bears who have been surprised by them -- at least for a little while. But yeah, we played terrible 2 times against this team. It's very disappointing. I'd also have to concede that this Bears team remains vulnerable to being beat by anyone, certainly any of the remaining opponents on the schedule. It's just really hard to believe in a club that lets its QB get plastered so regularly and lets Drew [expletive] Stanton drive the field like that.
  14. Is it just me or does SD seem to enjoy starting out slow so they can come back and win? 14-3 Raiders.
  15. He missed a PAT earlier. ITS GOOD!! Come on Cincy D. Yeah, too much time left. Come on D!
  16. Oh wow, Bengals kicker is off the scrap heap. GOOOOOOOD!
  17. Bengals with the ball now, in Saints territory!
  18. What the heck is Red Zone doing showing the Packers easy win when the BENGALS JUST TIED THE SAINTS?
  19. We were asleep most of the game. I think we underestimated the Lions, as the Pats did earlier, and were fortunate to wake up in time to pull off the win.
  20. Never a good time for a false start but geez.
  21. Punch to the back of the head = cheap shot, yes. Yeah, that's not what happened. It was punching action to the back. And yes, that deserves a flag.
  22. Bullcrap, that's a dirty shot to the back.
  23. If you're wondering why UMFan hasn't posted about the SF game, it's because it's over and GB is dominating. HOLY CRAP THAT'S GOT TO BE A FINE.
