I find it somewhat comforting that there are people who think Jed’s OK but I’d like to see someone new. It’s a rough division to be in. At the end of the day I can’t see Jed Hoyer building a champion like Theo did. Not a very data-driven opinion.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I always thought the torque it takes to spin the ball causes more potential injury but I don’t really know. Maybe he keeps it up for years. I wouldn’t expect injury.
There’s probably a whole line of Brewers draftees who are in the pipeline to be successful MLB players while Cubs draftees will flame out. The failures start there and just propagate all the way to the majors. Jed can’t fix that. He has no clue how to build a solid system top to bottom. Pisses me off to no end. If Miz leaves for big bucks the Brewers will just bring up the next guy.
I’ve been ready for at least 2 years. He was always just riding Theo’s coattails. There was never an indication he could be successful building a champion.
If they are ever going to take control back and remove Warren, now’s the time. Think of how weak it looks if they let themselves be led all the way down this path, disagreeing the whole time, but just letting it happen anyway.
