  1. It feels like Cubs are the cure for every bad pitcher in the league. If you really suck, don’t worry. The Cubs will make you look good.
  2. A day’s rest isn’t the worst thing IMO. Maybe a couple days for PCA too, although the impact to our defense would be significant.
  3. Way back? That was yesterday.
  4. A $140 million check cut to each owner, no requirement to spend it on payroll? Expansion will happen.
  5. It’s tough when you open against a quality opponent. Win and your season is shot out of a gun, lose and it’s a weight on your back the rest of the way. That was a good football game to watch.
  6. That was fun. Man was he pissed.. On replay it looked like he was right and the hitter went around. Another ump even came over and started yelling at him too.
  7. I thought it was going to be, “use your worst pitcher, ideally someone who hasn’t pitched above AA.”
  8. Here’s the league wide since the AS break: AVG: .297 OBP: .310 SLG: .459 OPS: .769 Looks like the Cubs are swinging for the fences, getting big hits to carry their OPS, but not as patient as the league.
  9. AVG: .259 OBP: .237 SLG: .519 OPS: .755 League averages (for entire season): AVG: .246 OBP: .316 SLG: .404 OPS: .720
  10. I’ve seen some blown coverages in my time. That ranks up there with the worst.
  11. Hmmmm Watching Arch’s godhood denied and Bama go down in flames was pretty darn exciting from where I was sitting.
  12. All right. Enough is enough. I’m going to go walk the dog. She’s more important than this crap.
  13. I’m about ready to say that it is not a slump, but rather what we experienced earlier in the year was a streak.
  14. I know we beat these guys 2/3 in their building (barring an uncharacteristic Sunday comeback) but it feels like it was a struggle and keep in mind this opponent is running 300+ in the red run diff.
  15. Pathetic. There is no pitcher who can’t shut down the Cubs on a day like today.
  16. All that with 2 outs and two hitters in a row 0-2.
  17. Two hitters he had 0-2,, the first one he walks and the second one he gets pounded.
  18. Arcia is a prime example of what happens to a player when he leaves Milwaukee
