  1. They’ve definitely cooled off. Not tonite though.
  2. I’m happy for him though. Someone interviewed him earlier this year and he said something to the effect of: yeah those Cubs years were fun but it’s really great here as well. I took that to be a diplomatic way of saying it was really dumb to make me part of that whole mass jettison plan.
  3. You mean in terms of GB being small town America? True but the Packers have a large national (and international) fan base. If you’re a star in GB you’re a star everywhere.
  4. All sports talk shows of any kind are a waste of time and brain cells. (the obvious exception being the postgame / highlights after winning the championship)
  5. Packers are right there with the Lions now and I give the in-game tactical edge to the Packers.
  6. I think there were just too many holes to fill and I’m not angry with Poles’ offseason, at least not at the moment. Faced with handing away huge draft capital for a guy like Parsons when there’s still holes to fill on the Oline, DLine, DB, even RB? It just didn’t make sense to get into that sweepstakes. But it made sense for GB. I’d say barring injury the Packers are a serious contender now. I have a lot of expectations for offensive improvement but the Bears are still shaping up to be 4th in the division. Beating MN in the opener would go a long way to helping change my mind. But good QBs are gonna stand back there and shred this D. And there’s at least 2 of them in our own division.
  7. Convincing him to leave the dysfunctional madness of Dallas and come to a well run org like Green Bay was probably easy. The compensation back to Dallas was likely just fair market value but I’ll bet Parsons is dancing a jig to be away from Jones.
  8. The offensive power outage has become boring. Actually has been for awhile now. When a slump becomes just what the team is….
  9. To their credit they have found a few guys who I believe will be really good long term like Turang..
  10. Noting how the Brewers simply come back when they give up runs. It’s helpful.
  11. Anything can happen in the playoffs. Like, I could win the powerball.
  12. Feels like a theme. We love to rescue bad starters.
  13. Cy Fedde. Brewers have the best FO in baseball and it’s not close. They know more about players than the teams they play for.
  14. You don’t wanna be the team where Verlander re-discovers the old magic or whatever else winds up in the headline when a glue horse somehow manages a good start against a top team.
  15. It happened like 15 minutes after I posted too. Alas, that was all AZ could muster.
  16. Brewer fans are also quite doom-oriented so making them nervous is kinda fun. They’ve been lamenting peaking too soon even in the middle of their streak.
