  1. I have to believe it will get better. It does look like Indiana wasn’t a one-off. They’re a good team. Maybe better than they were given credit for.
  2. All other significant Wisconsin teams - Brewers, Bucks, Packers - are good/great. Of course the one I’m a fan of is a dumpster fire. Fick’s buyout is $25 million-ish. Indiana bought their coach out for $16 million and it worked. I think we should do the same but it’s not my money.
  3. Way to build momentum after clinching a playoff slot guys.
  4. Between the Bears and the Badgers, football is just really depressing.
  5. Wasn’t it supposed to be a strong point?
  6. It’ll be the same result as it usually is. There will be some great plays, a few good drives. At the end of the game the Bears will be in the low to mid 20’s. Hopefully they’ll get out of the teens. But I haven’t seen anything yet that says they’re ready to light up the scoreboard. I think I said 27 in my prediction. Optimistic. Dallas will almost surely drop 30-40 points. Who is going to stop them? There are so many matchups the Bears will lose on that side of the ball. Dax finds open receivers.
  7. Not applicable for this season but Schwarbs is a FA. C'mon Ricketts, make an exception. Bring him back.
  8. I thought I heard that too. I didn’t check on it before I posted but that’s crazy if true!
  9. Totally random thought. When Happ first starting playing for the Cubs I never would have thought he would be the longest tenured Cub. He's consistently worked on his game, especially on defense where later in his career he's won the GG 3 times but also just being OPS+ well above the 100 mark every year. It's frustrating when he goes on these slumps but he always bounces back. He's a huge reason the Cubs turned it back on coming down the stretch this year.
  10. I remember that. There was also a tape review on YouTube - might have been Warner - where he was saying it’s the same guy every week. He didn’t explicitly call out DJ but it seemed pretty obvious.
  11. Dak is going to have a party next week. It's going to be butt ugly. Maybe Caleb can impress. That's all I'm hoping for. Bears will lose by at least two touchdowns, more likely three. 48-27 Cowboys.
  12. Stroud and Daniels have looked average so far. According to Aikman sacks are the QB’s fault so I guess Stroud and everyone else is at fault for not having time to throw (/sarcasm). But Stroud really did not look good to me. That non-interception was a stinky decision of the highest order. We will probably see better from him than that but will he and Daniels be pure magic like they were? I doubt that. I still wonder if Daniels can stay healthy long term.
  13. Can’t remember who, but last year there was some commentary about DJ to this effect. Wouldn’t surprise me.
  14. I didn't want to be that specific but isn't it at least some of their responsibility to get the team to week 1 healthy? That has to be part of the job right?
  15. The Bean Has Herpes. LOL.
  16. Johnson is now out “indefinitely.”
  17. Watching Vikings fans have to shut the hell up as they realized their offense wasn’t going to go anywhere was immensely gratifying. Jared Allen can choke on that stupid horn.
  18. They get a taste of success and go from lovable losers to Philly. Their pass rush clobbers Caleb on the head and they boo for 15 minutes even though the game was already won. I didn’t think it was possible to start hating a city’s fans so quick.
  19. /thread (IMO of course)
  20. Falcons signed Romo (kicker) this week and he’s 5-5 including a 54-yarder which would have been good from further. He was actually on the Bears’ practice squad in 2023, and has bounced around the league and the XFL. Point being, there’s likely an upgrade at kicker to be had at any time for the Bears.
  21. This is my position at the end of the day. Warren was the right pick there. I’m so sick of going HUH? at a first round Bears pick. It happens way too often.
  22. They were beaten to the punch at least once in the draft. That happens but I don’t know why there doesn’t seem to have been a plan B.
  23. I don’t think the Bears did a “true up” of Poles to match BJ, only to abandon that after one bad season. Warren though? I have no idea about him.
