  1. They weren't ever anything but ugly and stupid, as far as I'm concerned.
  2. Being outnumbered at Wrigley by loud Tiger fans is certainly a new experience for me
  3. Ahhhhh... Our offense is making me sad
  4. Hehe :) The more I think about it, Jay Cutler is just the medicine this town needed.
  5. I'll call this game The Mather Debacle.
  6. the thing is, he's usually friendly in PCs. it's that meathead urlacher that gets surly and goes after reporters with his answers, the so-called face of the franchise. jay is usually boring, though he's been more insightful lately. Actually, that brings up an overall inconsistency. It isn't just PCs. Urlacher is easily as surly and stand-off-ish in general as Cutler is. Yet Brian is treated much better than Jay.
  7. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/cubs/13147070-573/theo-epstein-says-rudy-jaramillo-firing-was-about-new-message.html Much more from Theo on the move.
  8. I'm going to Thursdays' game with a group of Tiger fans. Going to be like entering the Twilight Zone or something. I'll be the only Cub fan in the group, at my home stadium.
  9. Yeah, it's from his own 35, he's got a guy coming at him. The ball is beautiful, right on the money, defenders with no chance at all. There has not been a single QB in Bears history who can do that. Yet we still must suffer meatballs who don't like the fact he won't be friendly in press conferences.
  10. I'll take them slaying Lebron this year, and worry about future implications later. But thanks!
  11. I love love love seeing those words from Theo. Send the message loud & clear: STOP SWINGING AT SHITTY PITCHES.
  12. That'll do'er. OKC 1-0
  13. THUNDAH BY FIVE!
  14. That's pretty amazing. For some reason I thought another 8 seed had won the Cup.
  15. Nice article. And the comments show just how impossible it is to overcome that perception.
  16. Wow, pretty amazing. This is the kind of nugget that helps me get through.
  17. [expletive] that noise.
  18. That first trip to the NBA Finals sure put the 1991 Bulls, 1994 Rockets, 1999 Spurs, 2004 Pistons, 2006 Heat (first Finals for Wade) and 2008 Celtics at a disadvantage. Didn't magically give the Celtics an advantage when they went back in 2010. That's some WSR-level isht right there, Soul. Didn't even think to go the other way with teams returning to the Finals. 2004 Lakers and 2005 Pistons also lost during a return trip to the Finals in recent years. The thought of Lebron being given license to avail himself upon the world as its de facto ruler is enough to bring out the severe meatball in me.
  19. I'm not convinced OKC has the upper hand. Heat are the team that has been here before. Boston wore down a little but I'm just not sure that's balanced out by a team's first trip to the finals.
  20. I hope we lose 98 games so I can hear the further debate over who was right & wrong.
  21. Just can't get into it. Usually can't get through more than a few minutes & I'm reaching for the remote.
  22. Fun to watch them win once in awhile. Demp is pitching well at the perfect time for us. Someone's going to want that boost going down the stretch.
  23. This reminds me of last year, when I was actually in Europe watching all this unfold on a more first-hand basis.
