    I hate the headline writer even more. Lots of things could've been said that would've actually been true. "Lapse costs Cubs" isn't one of them. Oh, and if you want to be pissed off at how stupid people are, read the comments on that article. I didn't see any. I'm no Sullivan fan but in this case Sveum is really the source of the story, rather than an opinion piece. Dale looks tired -- like he's been up lots of nights without much sleep.

    They're on a 5 game bender, managed one run all weekend. And they're upset -- not with their own team for reeking to high heaven -- but with the umps.

    If he's got a better option for a championship next year, they'll never get to the begging stage. He'll just go to one of those teams instead.

    Series looking brand new if BOS holds on here. Wouldn't mind seeing a Heat meltdown and loss in the conference finals.

    Why not 2? 1st year is a split season, helping the Bulls through the Rose injury and then acclimatizing to having a Rose/Nash combo (or whatever). 2nd year could be very special.

    I'm no hockey expert, but a quick look: goals down, assists down, points down, power play goals down. I'm not going to lay the Hawks' woes at Kane's feet, and I know he's still a young man (would probably be graduating or just graduated from college under normal circumstances), but that trend isn't real good.

    This will be great. After an obligatory adjustment period during which every "purist" will mercilessly blast it, the end result will be a much-improved sport. Just like NFL football is now much-improved over the days when there was no possibility of overturning a blatantly incompetent call.

    I forgive bad things when really good things happen after. One WS and I can't see being too upset with a 100 loss season followed by another .500 or so season.
