  1. lol this thread is like going through the 7 stages of grief.
  2. Of course they are increasingly confident. Did Olney need to actually talk to someone before posting that? Talk about stating the obvious.
  3. I think there's a middle ground between "losing our [expletive]" and being concerned that the possibility of the trading deadline going badly is higher than it seemed to be a few weeks ago. It is my belief that this thread has well surpassed reasonable concern. Flying off the handle about the Cubs prevents us from flying off the handle about important stuff. Relax, nsbb is providing an important public service.
  4. I would have preferred that this simply didn't leak. There are probably cases where this sort of thing happens behind the scenes and no one on the outside is any wiser.
  5. In the Trib there's an article where Demp says he will take his decision right up to the deadline. Wouldn't a potential trade partner need to know before then, so they can switch to plan B if needed?
  6. Shortly means August 20th. These are some amazing sources of info.
  7. Which was wrong. Which leads me to wonder whether it was really Delgado coming back, or if that was just pieced-together rumor as well.
  8. I'll wait for official-ness to happen, but now I'm excited and hoping for no letdowns. Damn you vile twitter! Damn you to hell!
  9. Yeah, I couldn't help but immediately think of Bowden when the penalty was announced.
  10. It's clear he's not in denial, and is actively working to improve. Good for him.
  11. They're probably upset, in part, because of the nagging suspicion that their team won't be able to translate the one year of success into many. Like you said, especially in the NFL -- one year of success is nice, but it's an entirely different thing to jump up to being a perennial contender.
  12. I agree, although time -- both in terms of the Dodgers losing ground (2-8 in their last 10), and the trade deadline -- seems to be running short in LA.
  13. I think you forgot something. Ugh horrible. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16qhwX26vOA&feature=youtube_gdata_player Also, I recommend watching with speakers off. Thanks for the speaker warning! That someone in 2008 somehow thought it was acceptable in any way, shape or form to listen to that song is horrifying. My ears, they hurt.
  14. At this moment, I think that possibility is small. But, let's see what next week brings.
  15. WE CANNOT BE STOPPED. Surely we're leading the league by now.
  16. It doesn't do anything.
  17. Huh? "Cancer cells are stimulated to grow by testosterone." I think this doctor, posted on WebMD, makes it very clear that there are many causes of testosterone imbalance, and that only someone who knows all these factors should be just handing someone testosterone supplements. Prostate cancer is a side effect, and it is a very serious one. http://www.webmd.com/sex/video/testosterone-replacement-prostate-cancer
  18. Yes, he's clearly on the short list.
  19. I wouldn't mind having just a general Rizzo debut thread, and do away with the nickname nonsense.......for the moment. But I'm not a mod :)
  20. It was indeed. And I was too young to understand what it really meant. That didn't come until '85. '03 was horrible, but in a way just a 2nd time around the horn,
  21. Hehe, you've been tagged.
  22. Well he's terrible so I guess Sveum feels the right way about him.
