  1. I remember it was the '70s. And I remember that we lost. Come to think of it, this explains much.
  2. Maybe that was the personal issue. She ran to the press to announce she put him in the friend zone. Trashy.
  3. Did it really help his percentages? I don't see much when I look at his stats list year-by-year, although admittedly basketball stats...not my forte'
  4. It's such a broken record at this point. Every year we look at our line heading into week one, and we know it will be a struggle. And then we hope we can get by for a year because surely next draft we will use some picks on OL. Then we struggle, as predicted... Then the draft comes, and there's no execution on addressing the glaring need. Lather rinse repeat. I'm sick of it
  5. It just doesn't ever actually get ADDRESSED. For years.
  6. it's more fun being doomed anyway.
  7. Wait a minute. You were positive at some point? February, 1986
  8. Decastro apparently looked good in the preseason opener. Personally, this early in the process, I find his admission that "these guys are really good" is refreshing, not a detriment. Again, early camp performance does not equal career validation or damnation.
  9. Might've been the other way around: mgmt telling Tice he'd better make do because there are other priorities, and Tice convincing himself he could work with Webb as a result because he had no choice.
  10. Tice's muscle-headed approach is kind of fun.
  11. Zaidman's buying the plan. Biggs is a tad more skeptical, to say the least. BTW, I had trouble with that page randomly refreshing, which stops the audio. So I only listened to selected portions of it.
  12. Sounds like the ideal NFL WR :) Can he catch?
  13. I hope the offense is as good as predicted. If Urlacher misses significant time, I think we will need it. I get what you are saying about Urlacher/Peppers, but I still would expect to struggle on D without Urlacher. If we don't, and it's because Peppers provides additional pressure / creates havok -- then that's a nice bonus. I'm still just going to expect him to be there week 1 until proven otherwise.
  14. The cars with LED lights all over them were cool. Didn't care much for those riding in the cars, however (for the most part). Brian May standing in the middle of the stage wailing on his guitar was good. Eric Idle is always good.
  15. It's a transparent octopus. With a DJ in the head. And legs twitching & dancers all along it. Oh hell yea let's party!
  16. It's not, but there is also no realistic way to stop it. By the way, Bolt is not a proven user, so until he tests positive he's officially clean.
  17. I'd rather they all be clean because then I would know the actual times based on natural ability. I would like to know what is really possible devoid of chemical assistance. That's wishful thinking though.
  18. No, I can't go that far. It's a concern if Urlacher isn't ready for week 1.
  19. I feel like I saw everything I wanted to see on the main channel, between live & replays. The rest of the time I was doing other things.
  20. But I loved you. I really, really did.
  21. You do know that basketball is on its own separate channel, right? Yeah, they didn't show any soccer on NBC either. Both were shown on MSNBC or CNBC I believe. Yeah, I can't be bothered to search channel listings for this stuff though. I think many follow the same suit. Sorry, but if it isn't on the flagship channel, it doesn't exist. There was like 3 stations showing the olympics. Whenever I felt like watching the olympics, I flipped through those 3 to see what was on. It wasn't much of a bother. Good for you then.
  22. Not really. I'm not flipping channels for the Olympics. I'll look at it if it's on but I'm not hunting around for it. I don't care enough about it.
  23. There isn't much to be gained from Urlacher practicing since he needs to rest that knee anyway. I'll be concerned if the regular season starts and he's not there, or his performance is impacted.
  24. The Commissioner's authority under the CBA isn't the immediate matter before the judge. More at issue here is the defamation suit. Vilma is arguing that Goodell has sullied his good name with no evidence. The judge can rule that this case can go forward, and can also rule that Vilma can rejoin the team until it's all settled. She has scolded both sides for their handling of the situation, but is strongly leaning in favor of Vilma. She has no desire to rule in the case whatsoever and this explains the delay, hoping that a settlement can be reached over the weekend. I am good friends with someone who is present in every session who tells me that with no settlement, Vilma could rejoin the team on Tuesday. IMO, Goodell's hard evidence must be pretty flimsy if he isn't offering anything even now. The larger issue is the fact that players must utilize the court system for relief because the NFL does not provide an adequate system of judication. Frankly, our judges have much more important matters to attend to than NFL arbitration.
