  1. They have runners on 1st and 3rd, no outs, and all our players want to go to bed. This can't be good.
  2. So, you want to be a major leaguer? Heh.
  3. Hah. There's one great thing about attending a game like this. Find a section of empty seats and wait for foul balls.
  4. Monday night, late, and there are actually fans in those stands. Hats off to 'em :)
  5. Heh. 10:40pm start, that's a 1:40am ending if all goes well.
  6. I can't stay up for this, yeah. Fortunately it looks like Atlanta has it in hand. Cubs to start @ 10:40pm!! Woot!
  7. C'mon now. That had to be a pretty tough play to call, even standing right there. His 2nd foot barely touched turf, and I'd guess the ref couldn't see the carpet shooting in the air. You probably only saw it on slow motion replay yourself. But overall, yeah these refs suck. They can't even figure out where to spot the ball half of the time. The rubber is spitting up all over the place!!! Anyway, did you see what they just showed? These bozos marked off 10 yards on a 5 yard penalty!
  8. I feel like every time the Bears do something OLine-related, the Twilight Zone theme is playing in the background. Just bizarre and ridiculous, all the way around. I don't think you're missing anything. They've gone bananas, period. OH but that Jay Cutler, man he needs to grow up.
  9. There's a case where a ref is standing there, looking right at receiver's feet from 5 feet away. Couldn't ask for a better position to observe whether both feet are down... ...and he completely misses the 2nd foot drag. Even with all the rubber shooting up from the carpet. I mean, come on. Stop turning my favorite game into amateur hour. This has gone on long enough.
  10. I don't understand much of anything they do on the OLine anymore.
  11. Or the sixth guy. Don't want to be him, either.
  12. Are you sure he pulled his groin? Rotoworld said he was benched for a penalty and that's why he didn't return. Nobody's totally sure yet. Fisher said it was the injury, but it's strange that he was pulled on the exact play where the penalty occurred. I happened to be watching when it happened. Jackson didn't appear injured in the least. Also, Fisher never challenged the call. I thought it deserved a challenge. So who knows? Maybe Fisher's angry enough to bench him for next week! :)
  13. Like the Bears, with the Lions there's just a lot of things to be unhappy about after 2 games. to be fair, they're playing the best D in the league on the road. True.
  14. Like the Bears, with the Lions there's just a lot of things to be unhappy about after 2 games.
  15. I hope you're right, but that's a pretty bold prediction given what just happened Thursday, and given the Rams win today. I'd take the Rams and the points. But -- I don't bet on sports.
  16. After seeing the Rams take Detroit to the limit, and defeating Washington, I'm ready to say this won't be a cakewalk next week.
  17. Stafford just unleashed the worst throw in the known universe.
  18. Makes sense provided Slaton isn't really ready. Bell can be plugged in without much delay.
  19. I was at the Wisc/Utah State game this evening. LOL. Suffice it to say it wasn't a happy crowd walking out of the building, in spite of the "win."
  20. I'll be watching their game this week much more than I usually would. They gave Detroit a tough time and I'm not sure if it means anything.
  21. I lol'd. You know, I really don't like Barnwell, but that was an excellent article. +1 excellent.
  22. Good stuff. Dave Kaplan was railing on Cutler a few Minutes ago for yelling at Webb and kept saying "ask yourself this: would Peyton manning yell at his lineman like that?". I almost called in and read your post on the radio but I didn't want to pop my talk radio cherry talking to Dave Kaplan. Also his reasoning for why it was wrong was that a bunch of players spoke out against it. He said something like "when a bunch of players speak out about something like this, you are clearly in the wrong". Umm Dave...the last time a bunch of players came out against Cutlers actions it was them yelling at him for "quitting the NFC championship game". Later we learn he tore his MCL. We're they right in that instance? Dave Kaplan, who you crappin? I know he can be hard to ignore, but it's worth the effort.
  23. I still want to see the game at Soldier Field later. As bad as this was, there were a few plays that could have changed how we're thinking about it. The defense overall did a fine job. We haven't been able to protect the QB since I can remember. Yet last year we were able to scheme it enough to at least give Cutler some time to throw. Tice needs to do that again. It's never going to be good without new personnel, but at a minimum they need to get Webb help regularly. I'm surprised they thought they could leave him out there alone. They should know better. I'm pretty concerned about Forte now -- high ankle sprain. Anyone know how long he will be out?
  24. This is true. The Forte loss was very advantageous for the Packers, although it seemed to occur seamlessly with Bush taking up the slack. Seriously, I'm angry at Marshall for missing that catch in the end zone. I know it's just one play and I'll get over it. But damn, we needed that, and it would have changed this game. Brandon needs to catch his STUFF.
  25. Talk Bears all you want. TT told me to knock it off and I will. If you'd like to actually discuss the game, go for it. Not with you. /ignore
