  1. "it is making it hard to watch. every game..." I feel my breaking point coming on. Jesus H. Christ, PLEASE DO SOMETHING.
  2. I just can't handle the horrible calls. It's like someone up there hates all football fans.
  3. It's kind of sad that one of Chicago's "most storied sports legends" played more seasons with the Chicago sports team's arch rival and never won a championship in Chicago. He died when he went to Detroit. I don't care what anyone else says.
  4. He won a Super Bowl. Nothing he ever does will ever be wrong, ever again.
  5. Suddenly, a different game. What a punt, though. Wow.
  6. I don't think I've seen this before, and that's really saying something. What's the sack record?
  7. Well, there goes substantial football talk for another week. Thanks Chelly.
  8. I expect some of these teams to start rounding back into form, and GB should be one of them. The trouble is, I don't know if it will happen this week for them. It might not.
  9. This is not a good combination, with Sapp finding a player he can get to react, and BM not being able to help himself.
  10. I went back and listened to Sapp's comments. Yeah, it's Sapp working his jaw like usual -- not worth getting that worked up over, Mr. BM.
  11. There's a JWebb nation? Sold by the man himself. http://www.jwebbnation.flyingcart.com/ His shirt is as half-assed as his play on the field.
  12. I don't understand why Schwartz did what he did, but it definitely cost the Lions a ballgame.
  13. It was terrible.
  14. Man. I just watched a breakdown of the NO/KC game. It's not that I didn't realize they would be worse, but to let that happen on their home turf, against KC.....just incredible.
  15. People haven't changed the channel yet, so stop caring about quality. I know you're being sarcastic but that's clearly the NFL's stance in negotiations here. The league is still making their money so they seem to think they can take a hardline with the refs. I know, I'm just pissy about it because I don't agree with their stance.
  16. There's nothing like a game with NE or PIT to give BAL doubts about themselves.
  17. People haven't changed the channel yet, so stop caring about quality.
  18. Not something I devote a lot of thought to :). But really, there's always that slim chance the ball deflects the wrong way and it works out for the offense. It's not a 100% sure thing for the defense, that's why teams do it. Defenders still need to play it right. I don't really care how they get it done -- but there's no magic to it. As a defender, they still need to play good football, get in good position, and play the ball correctly. Bat it down, intercept it, however it happens, the defense still needs to "win" the play.
  19. What a hit by Reed. Might not have been entirely legal though.
  20. So, the refs (and game officials) in the 49ers / Vikings game decided that giving Harbaugh one additional challenge wasn't enough. So they gave him 2 additional challenges. And you just know Harbaugh's on the sidelines thinking, if they're stupid enough to give me one challenge I shouldn't have, why they hell not? Throw the flag again, see what happens. AND THEY GIVE IT TO HIM.
  21. If getting completely and totally destroyed all up & down your OLine is just one of those things you look at tape and say "it's on us," then I would say every single loss in the history of the NFL is just on the losers. No winning team should ever get credit. The truth is, this was a case where a dominant defensive unit showed up and took over the football game. Beyond that, the Bears offense needed to not turn the ball over a whole bunch of times and give them free points. For the most part they didn't turn it over. They played pretty poorly, but it didn't mean much today. Next week, I think it will. Dallas has been less than thrilling so far, but that's a better team than Saint Louie.
  22. Man. OT madness.
  23. Vikings with a nice stop. Just nothing there for the 9ers at the moment.
  24. Just beat them anyway. Their line is like a screen door with a bucket of water being dumped over it. Run the hell right through them.
  25. One thing about these Rams, they don't quit. Really? Wow. We don't quit either.
