  1. No excuse in this one. Kick 'em while they are down.
  2. Yeah, the Bears can make up for their deficiencies on a good day -- when they're getting turnovers, putting together a few good drives, etc. But I think it's clear, against the good teams, without those game changers -- they're just an average football team that can't match up with the better teams.
  3. I don't know man, that drop was terrible. Don't know what might have happened if the Bears score there. I'm not going to blame the loss on one play but we can't have that.
  4. I don't buy that nobody was open there. You can't triple cover 2 receivers and have everyone else covered too
  5. Pass blocking is porous today
  6. Yes, because they can't win any other way.
  7. Trestman's offense is not impressive. Cutler's execution of it is also less-than-spectacular. This isn't going to cut it. Loads of defensive problems too.
  8. It's bad now. Could get downright ugly starting the 2nd half
  9. Do it before giving up a 13 point lead
  10. Needed that, bad
  11. It just feels weird to strip the player budget under the flag of "lack of funds," and then go out make your manager the highest paid in baseball. It's.....schizophrenic. And, I think, it further underlines that Ricketts is full of horsecrap when he says he can't spend.
  12. There must be a cloud of bad vibes that hangs over that city or something.
  13. Then Kyle shows up, blows up the comments section. lol
  14. I don't *think* the Cubs would go higher than that, either.
  15. I wouldn't go anywhere near that far. They were putting together a major league team to sell.
  16. Indeed. Guess trading your running back for a 1st rounder isn't all that bad an idea after all.
  17. That's exactly what we said when Epstein was hired. No *way* he'd be hired just to gut the payroll and run an expansion-style rebuild. I could've made this post for you; I was so sure it was coming. Hey, I'm thinking the Ricketts DID make promises that ultimately they couldn't keep; I do still think that Theo would have come here if he knew the money issue was going to be what it's seemingly turned out to be. If the farm doesn't start seriously paying off in the next two seasons I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Epstein walk when his deal is done. I don't think he would have come here if he would have known the realities. Yeah, he's blowing this joint if things don't start paying off in the next couple years.
  18. Not sure why the Cubs would do that if Girardi is the guy they want. It's only what, 28 days to wait maximum? Less if Girardi takes a deal from NY sooner.
  19. I don't think that Telander rant is going to be one-of-a-kind, so get ready. Especially if things don't go well next year.
  20. Sun-Times article is interesting. It means Girardi is seriously considering coming here. Otherwise he would just accept the Yanks' offer and remain in NY.
  21. Yeah, not seeing it. Thanks for posting the article -- but it seems like a lot of blather to me.
  22. He would have shown more by now if he was going to be a good player. Maybe they can salvage him in some kind of hybrid LB role? I don't know. But it won't be enough to be able to feel good about him. It was a bad pick.
  23. I would make a joke about Jags fans, but I'm not sure there ARE any Jags fans.
  24. Damn. Might be the best noon slate of games all year and I won't have access to my NFLST :( Probably head out to the bar Sunday instead.
  25. Nice little PP sequence there.
