  1. I'd have to agree. And there's a lot I do not know about this type of racing and those cars for me to even attempt to form any opinion on it beyond that so yeah. I've seen a couple of these Sprint-type races. They are fast (of course), and designed to slide more through the turns. It's pretty intense stuff when you see it live. I don't think the video shows what I need to see to make a judgement -- the angle doesn't allow you see whether Stewart tried to dodge him or not. It looks like the previous car had to swerve, but again I can't really see. These are short track races, done in far more closed-in conditions and with much less lighting than what you would see at a NASCAR-type race. I don't know. I feel like there won't be charges, but I can't say for sure. It was horrible watching that video though.
  2. surprised it didn't get you fired. ? - No.
  3. Your standards are way too low.
  4. Eh...it's his first game in a new position. I'm willing to give him a little slack. It's not like we have some stud LB's pushing him, anyway. He was always going to fail
  5. 2nd team, on the other hand...
  6. Ahhh fake training camp drama...
  7. I have no problem with weed, it should be legal. Him smoking weed in violation of his contract is stupid and he's been suspended for other things as well. http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/6937440/new-york-jets-wide-receiver-santonio-holmes-gone-castoff-captain Wasn't his last suspension in 2010 though? I'm more concerned with his suckage starting in 2010 and carrying through to last season, although I'm sure some of that was due to the Jets' horrible offense as well.
  8. This article got me really excited. We've uncovered a market inefficiency. Of course other teams are going to start noticing it now and start taking the top college bats at the top of the draft, causing the elite pitchers and high school bats to fall. Hopefully right into our laps as we descend in the draft order the next few years. We should be able to get really good value while improving in the MLB standings. It's been discussed for a little while around these parts, since Theo starting talking about it. IMHO it's one of the best advantages we can point to right now, and since we have already begun to exploit it, there will be a period where other teams lag behind us. Definitely something solid we can point to for the intermediate future.
  9. So they don't sign anyone good this offseason? Weird. The problems with that are: 1) They could still sign someone. Screw the first-round pick. 2) Several of the players they might want to sign won't be pick-tied. 3) They probably weren't going to sign anyone anyway. 4) Worth it to not have to hear "we lost 90+ games, there's no point in trying next year, we're too far away!" Auto-ban on anyone who says something like this, starting in October.
  10. Interesting. Hopefully he's over his injury weed troubles. Yeah, no thanks. We don't need a bad apple in the locker room. Other than the league being stuck in the same time warp as the government, I don't see why weed should make a person a "bad apple" as long as it is isolated to his own time and not his professional work as a player.
  11. Darn MT/PT games. I really tried, guys. I guess I should be happy to have seen Rizzo's first homer live.
  12. Get a head start on forgetting him. He's done.
  13. Nice bat flip on a routine fly ball Welly you dope
  14. It's broken. I don't believe in the whole 4 week return talk when it's a broken bone. Heard that same kind of stuff with Rodgers too.
  15. Yeah but in all fairness to Coughlan, that ball was creamed.
  16. agreed completely Take it out of the manager's hands they don't know if it's worthy or not
  17. Castillo sucks at tagging and does a bat flip on obvious fly outs
