  1. Kings are a damn good team, not beating us dirty or anything. We're just getting beat, I'm beginning to just accept it now
  2. Sad. But, it's really tough to repeat
  3. I know he was screened but Craw just doesn't seem as sharp now
  4. I'm sooooo tired of Mike Ditka's association with the Bears. He's a clown. Ditka was time & place - he was the right thing at that time to win it. He shouldn't need to be any more than that. The league and sports in general have left him behind like a lot of other guys. I'd like to see him retire from media at this point but I'm not embarrassed by him.
  5. Fuckity [expletive] [expletive]
  6. Actually some decent action the last few minutes but I think it's just too late
  7. This Carter character has got to be stopped or adios Hawks
  8. Yeah, predictably forgettable game. Pray we can steal game 4 because it's not happening tonight
  9. Just forget this, it's over
  10. Wish we could decline the penalty frankly
  11. Tazer is just so damn beautiful
  12. Can't start sucking on the penalty kill now - [expletive] stop that [expletive]
  13. For a Cubs WS win? I'd probably trade 5 of the 6 Bulls championships.
  14. I know pitcher wins are stupid but good lord, can't we do this just once with Shark on the mound?
  15. Theo either needs to get a solid package in return, or just pay the man. There can't be any of this "disappointed with what we got back" stuff. He doesn't want to re-sign with us. He'd do well to keep all his options open, including re-signing with the Cubs. How he feels right now is one thing, but let's see what happens when it comes down to it. I'm not saying you're wrong, or that he's going to re-sign with the Cubs, but it's early yet.
  16. I didn't notice it happening to the Blackhawks because hockey is irrelevant. Here's something you might like more than the Blackhawks then http://i26.tinypic.com/j0cy2b.jpg
  17. I don't know. Maybe it's just that there hasn't been an incentive to break ranks yet. After all, the Cubs have been doing a lot of talking and not a lot of action. Or, maybe this owner has a lot of goodwill built up in the neighborhood for other things.
  18. That sounds nightmarish. I can't imagine that too many people who can actually afford to live in a building like that in that location would be down with the frat party atmosphere and the skyrocketing crime rate. Just rent out the space if you don't like it there? I assume if you own one of those buildings and rent out the space, you either deal with the scum yourself, or hire a management firm to deal with it and pay a fee for the service. So if you don't like dealing with the residue of all the partying yourself, it's a matter of either charging more for rent or taking a slight hit on profit and getting out of that side of the business. Maybe that's not how it works out though. I doubt it's a real nightmare for the building owners either way. One way or another, they deal with it and it's part of what they signed up for. They either live there themselves and that's it, or they figure out some other way of handling what comes along with the neighborhood. Or they sell and get out. Or, they choose to be miserable.
  19. Ok, Ok. I get it man. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-B_hBptFPE0Y/TnzEtOD_8GI/AAAAAAAAAhk/8SMyBm1VkXM/s1600/WhatMeWorry.png
  20. Hmm. I watched that video, and didn't come away with that feeling about Ricketts at all. I felt pretty good about it, actually. Like maybe our erstwhile owner is finally going to do something that will benefit us as fans. I'm not talking about the video. Within the last year, he's compared them to the neighbor stealing your HBO. While funny, it's uncalled for, given the contract they have. That rhetoric worked fine while in the process of negotiating the first deal, but it makes you look stupid when said while you currently have a contract specifically sanctioning that activity. Alright, I didn't catch him saying that and yeah it was probably the wrong thing to do.
