  1. Bears about 10 picks away from their 3rd round double-shot. That'll put a few more talking points on the agenda, no doubt.
  2. Because getting pressure from the front 4 is perhaps the most important thing you need to do to run our defense, and by the end of the season that almost dissapeared. Ogun and Brown have both been fairly dissapointing. At least one of them is leaving after this year. And you'd like a rotation of D-linemen, always fresh. Huh? I don't see that at all. Exactly how many sacks did they combine for in the final 8 games of the season? 5 or something? That's 8 games. You can trace the Bears rise from last place back to the acquisition of Ogun. I assume you watched the NFC Championship game, right? Ogun was an absolute terror on the biggest stage.
  3. Link to Bazuin's scouting report from NFL draft countdown: http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/de/danbazuin.html The link is really slow for me, so here's a few details: They had him ranked a day one pick, so it doesn't sound like as much of a reach as I originally thought. I still don't get the DE thing, though but Angelo must want to start rotating new talent in for Ogun & Brown since it really helped generate pass rush for us last year with Anderson.

  5. I'd have to imagine they see him as a LBer. Here's his website. Not at 4.77 he's not. He'll get raped in the NFL at that speed playing linebacker (NFL network listed his 40 at 4.77)
  6. Yeah, but the Bears are pretty much fine at DE already.
  7. This one is a head-scratcher for me. I guess we aren't happy with Alex Brown and Ogun now? I'll be interested to hear the rationale on this one.
  8. LOL, Millen is obviously the worst GM in all recorded history.
  9. Stanton's workout was apparently horrid. Looks like Martz will have his work cut out for him.
  10. Packers trade down w/ Jets.
  11. I don't think Jarrett is necessarily going to have trouble in the NFL. There's one primary skill for a WR: catch the damn ball. Jarrett has always had great hands.
  12. He's a huge reach, terribly inaccurate, has a drinking problem which almost cost him his starting job in college. I'm not sure what Detroit is thinking with this pick.
  13. There goes Jarrett
  14. Nice. Now all his MSU drinking buddies can move in with him in Detroit. Good luck with that one.
  15. The worst mistake a football team can make is to sit on their hands and say " We are happy with our team, we don't need to improve" All I know is I waited 6 hours for the first Bears pick...and I got 20 more picks to go for the second. Oh well. Sigh. They only have so many roster spots. ...You honestly believe that they can't draft people that can at least take back up or practice squad spots?? Wait. Don't we still have like 7 picks left now? How is it sitting on our hands by acquiring more players than we would have before?
  16. Longest 1st round in history, just announced on NFL Network. No doubt -- it was actually like 20 minutes per pick because teams picks were in for a good long time before anyone announced them at the podium. They should fix that, there's no reason it should take that long.
  17. SD's 2nd, 3rd, 5th and their 3rd next year. isn't PP a titans fan? Vikings and Titans. Don't ask how or why Ahh, sorry. I just assume Bears unless told otherwise, my bad.
  18. Gotta take that one on faith I guess. I have a hard time believing Kolb was the best QB in the draft for the early 2nd round. Maybe he'll prove me wrong.
  19. SD's 2nd, 3rd, 5th and their 3rd next year.
  20. Yep, I was thinking that. Two 3rd rounders for TJ is just fine, like you said. Throw in a 5th rounder, and it's a sweet deal for a guy we couldn't find any takers for a year ago.
  21. I'm going to stick with NFL Network. They're scooping ESPN all over the place. Their draft coverage is clearly superior.
  22. Insanity! How can Weddle be that good? They gave us their entire middle draft for him!
  23. Angelo just turned Thomas Jones into like 4 picks!!!!! Is this really true?? :o :o :o
  24. HOLY CRAP! Angelo just raped SD for a BUTTLOAD of picks!!!!!
  25. LOL, NFL network trying to talk up Weddle as they show video of him slipping, committing pass interferance, and getting raped in drills. Nice.
