  1. Awesome. I guess Iran will now jail their team.
  2. +9 what the hell. I guess giving them +10 would be too obvious.
  3. Is this like the prevent defense in football? I'd prefer if more blue jerseys have the ball.
  4. He's going to try to stay in wow.
  5. I was looking into this yesterday and I believe the Rams are on track to be the worst Super Bowl Champion the following year. It's between them, the 1981 Raiders, and the 2013 Ravens. The '81 Raiders were coming of the magical run of Jim Plunkett, resulting in the Raiders winning the SB as a wild card team for the first time in history. I don't remember a lot of people expecting that to happen, and so certainly the Raiders dismal '81 wasn't a surprise. The '13 Ravens, everyone knows what the deal was with Flacco. He had an unbelievable few games, the Ravens felt obligated to re-sign him, and he proceeded to suck. Many people (if not all) expected it. With the Rams, it seemed reasonable to expect they'd be good this year. I also read that the Rams have one of the easiest SOS for a returning SB champion too.
  6. I want Rodgers to play. I'd rather not see Love play in the one game he could succeed, given the Bears' historically bad defense and lack of any kind of pass rush.
  7. Typically I'd say no, I want them to win no matter what. And it's like a reflex - once we get into the game I'm going to cheer for them. But Poles flipped the script when he started trading players away in terms of whether the organization is trying to win. Clearly they aren't, so in a way rooting for the Bears to lose as a fan is also rooting for the Bears' to "win."
  8. Not playing Fields might turn out to be one of the best decisions all year.
  9. Damn that sucks.
  10. Just watched the Fickell PC. Haven’t felt better about the Badgers since Alvarez.
  11. Or a 2 year window of rebuild so he doesn't have to hit on all these picks/FA's, which seems nearly impossible. Someone isn't going to perform even though the college resume is solid or the FA acquisition makes sense. Was thinking about the upcoming offseason, while the Bears appear to have a bounty of resources to drastically change/improve their roster it's not idiot proof. This is the facet I'm concerned about; there's a possibility Poles may still horsefeathers it up. I'm not expecting every highly drafted player or FA signing to work however, I am expecting marked improvement on both sides of the ball along with beating the Packers. That's a more realistic expectation. They are starting from zip, so being competitive - maybe even a low-seed playoff contender - would be enough to call Poles' offseason a success provided he's still set up with resources/picks to further improve the following year. Yeah, beating the Packers would be such a boost for this franchise.

    NFL Week 12

Hate to say it but he looks good. Yeah, the same kind of good that Mitch used to look like in essentially garbage time. I'll take my chances on GB's run of franchise QB's being over once Rodgers becomes an ex-Packer. That wasn’t garbage time. Look it’s a couple drives. I’m not saying he’s the next HOF Packers QB but he didn’t look lost like he did his last time out.

  17. Fickell was just announced as UW head coach. I’m happy. What he did at Cincy holds great appeal for a Badgers program struggling with recruitment providing real benefits on the field. He got a lot out of players without resources. Let’s see what he can do with large University support.
  18. Browns win, thank you very much.
  19. The jump in quality of opponent from one week to the next will be massive. They weren’t playing an NFL-caliber team today.
  20. #1 lesson from this game: Fields is so good he was single-handedly keeping the Bears in games that would ALL have looked like this if not for him.
  21. I can’t think of a worse one.
  22. That’s an NFL kicker.
  23. There’s an obligation to watch this, for me at least. And I always want to see success. So it’s just really hard to sit and watch this level of ineptitude even though I understand the bigger picture.
  24. FWIW the ball is coming out quicker.
  25. Exactly right.
