Another day, another subpar opposing pitcher. -
It used to be year 3. Give the new regime until year 3. I think it’s quicker now. We should be seeing better football now.

I don’t see it happening either. Nice season, lots of good things I didn’t see coming. But not quite enough to win these crucial games down the stretch.

Eberflus and Getsy should feel good about landing jobs with the Bears, who will tolerate mediocrity much longer than other teams. They’ll get the full measure of opportunity, even though it’s undeserved. Even though everyone knows right now they will not succeed.

I didn’t have it nearly as bad. Spectrum got into a spat with Disney and we lost ESPN. I never missed it. The most interesting thing about it for me was that Spectrum worked out a deal with Fubo, calling them their “preferred streaming partner.” That’s weird, wouldn’t sending people to a cable cutting service be a bad idea?

Ugh, I dislike that kind of stat. 93% yesterday, 50% tomorrow. It's a completely different argument day to day. Especially with several games left. It's 3 of 4 times until a few days from now and it's not.

I don't know what's going to happen but we do not have a comfortable position in the WC; there are a lot of teams close and any one of them could streak, or more than one. We are very lucky to still be in that 2nd WC slot after the Colorado debacle. I think the Cubs can do better these last few games and lock it up. But they can't play like the last 3 and expect anything.

I also hold to the "don't wish injury on a player" principle. So I get home from work yesterday, and my wife says this Rodgers thing is all over social media. Tik Tok feed has little else other than Rodgers stuff. She's a Packer fan. And she goes ahahahah! Karma! Rodgers is enough of an ass / COVID denier / jaggoff that I'll make an exception. A season without him is great news. I'll enjoy the NFL that much more this year.
