  1. INT NICK HARPER!!!!!!! 1:24 left in the game and the Titans have the ball! Should be 5-0! :D
  2. Kerry to Alge!!!!! TD!!!! Bironas hits the PAT and the Titans lead 13-10 with 1:56 left!
  3. I take back what I said earlier, I think. Kerry just led the Titans down to the Baltimore 11 yard line with roughly 2 minutes left in the game. Great job of smart passes (though there were a few questionable decisions thrown in) by Kerry. Titan ball 1st and 10 from the 11 down by four.
  4. The Raven defense is way too much for the Titan offense right now. Tennessee down 10-6 with 5:53 left in the game and I have little confidence they'll be able to come back. Baltimore roughing Kerry helps, though. Tennessee on its own 35 now.
  5. I fully expect Tennessee to lose to Georgia, but I don't think it'll be the debacle I've heard some predict. The defense has been very good all year and if we can get the rest of the offensive players to play as well as they did in the first three games, along with Nick Stephens playing like he did last night, this could be a competitive game. That said, UGA's beatdown by Alabama last week couple with our beatdowns of them the past two seasons will likely have them craving orange blood. Early prediction: 31-17 Georgia
  6. Rejoice Colt fans, Matt Schaub will not start (virus) and Sage Rosenfels will, according to ESPN. Should be even easier a win for ya'll today. Can't find a link on the web site, but it's running on the bottom line as breaking news.
  7. Good game by your boys Flames. I kept expecting Tennessee to pull away, but the NIU defense mixed with some very untimely drops by the receivers kept the Huskies in it. I thought Nick Stephens played very well in his first career college start and think he earned himself the job the rest of the season (barring a horrible game against Georgia). Problem was, we couldn't run the ball (we had all of 23 yards rushing late in the fourth) and the receivers couldn't catch it (I counted four easily catchable passes by Stephens dropped by the receivers in the first half alone). The defense played well in its bend-but-don't-break mentality. The Stephens to Denarius Moore deep TD pass was a thing of beauty, though. Couldn't have been thrown better by Stephens. Hopefully the offense will mesh well around Stephens before Saturday at UGA.
  8. Hey Dew, you guys could always hire Tony Franklin away from Auburn... (hides behind a 10 ft high brick wall) Hey, at least a lot of Tennessee fans would have their wish and we'd run the spread. . . :-)) LOL. Serious ??? for Dew, how unpopular is Fulmer up there? I heard a rumor that alot of students would have boycotted the game today if Jonathon Compton was name the starter today? As a Bammer, I respect the University, but have no respect for the rat-fink of a coach. Sorry I'm late responding to this, had to leave shortly after my last post yesterday and didn't get in until extremely late. The general opinion around here is that Fulmer needs to go. Almost nobody can agree why he needs to go, but most people think we should be as good as we were in the 90s and are pissed at Fulmer because we aren't still there (disregarding that teams like LSU, Georgia, Auburn, Vanderbilt and Kentucky are no longer the patsies they were back then). Others want him gone because he won't institute the spread option and insists on using what they call an "antiquated" pro-style system. Still more are just tired of him and think the program is stagnant - even though Fulmer's winning percentage since 2002 is 69.7% and the university's all-time winning percentage is 69.6%. I like Fulmer and think he's a decent coach/great recruiter. I'm not in favor of making a change, but also not opposed simply because I don't think the fans are behind him anymore. I worry what'll happen to the program if Mike Hamilton doesn't make the perfect hire to replace him.
  9. I'm not worried at all if Rodgers plays. If he does play, I just hope the line decides to show up. The last thing we need is for Rodgers to take another hit that hurts his shoulder. I'm like 90% sure that Flynn will start tomorrow and we'll lose. It's just been that kind of week. ESPN confirmed that Rodgers will start today.
  10. Arkansas's got some current/future weapons. Smith is the real deal at tailback. Joe Adams is in his fifth college game and starting to look like a stud. DJ Williams is one of the top tight ends in the nation. And Ryan Mallett So there's promise there. I barely care if they win another game, but they have to progress. Do something wild like...score in the first half. There's definitely some young talent there. What year is Smith?

  12. TD Arkansas! They finally cashed in on one of those opportunities on Florida's side of the field. 17-7 UF now, late third quarter
  13. By the way Vanilla Ice, You Dukies better appreciate Cutcliffe while he's there. I really, really miss him right now.
  14. No kidding. There's a chance Tennessee shoots themselves in the foot tonight against Northern Illinois while I'm in the press box and then shortly thereafter, the Cubs will have the chance to get mercilessly beaten the Dodgers for the third time. Maybe the Titans will win... You guys will be fine, don't worry. Yeah, I thought the same thing against UCLA and see how that turned out? The positive is that Nick Stephens will get the start tonight and hopefully he'll not make the stupid mistakes Crompton did. Without those, we're 3-1 and were likely competitive against Florida.
  15. Sorry Warp, but Casey Dick is an idiot.
  16. that would explain why you're about three minutes or so ahead of me. Didn't realize it was online. I get the wonderful Raycom Sports feed on TV. Not sure if you've watched that feed, but it's terrible. Announcers suck and the quality is poor. And thanks Jerry Franklin, by the way. An INT would've been nice.

  18. Prophetic. They get to the 50 and then start moving backward.
  19. Yeah, they started that possession at the 1 foot line or something. And Florida has another holding penalty. I guess that's what happens when you're playing your 6th string guard. Yeah, it was inside the one - and Arkansas got 30 yards in penalties to get Florida out of that mess. Both these teams are penalizing themselves like crazy. thats been the unmentioned weakness Meyers entire team at uf. theyre always at the bottom of the league in penalties. in their NC season they ranked 119th in penalties. thats out of 119 teams... Incredible talent can overcome, I guess. Arkansas moving the ball again.
  20. Apparently Arkansas has to do that every time they play Florida. :banghead: The really frustrating thing is, Arkansas is moving the football. This should be a closer game right now. Block in the back penalty on Arkansas after they boot the kickoff. Yay!

  22. Luckily, Florida keeps getting penalties. After 25 yards worth last drive, they've now had two penalties for 20 more yards. 1st and 30 UF And then Demps breaks a 30 yard touchdown run.
  23. Stupid, stupid Arkansas. :banghead: Florida backed themselves up to 1st and 35 and ended up punting to Arkansas. So what does Michael Smith, the punt returner, do? He fumbles the punt and Florida gets the ball inside the Razorback 20.
  24. Don't forget the Ramirez HR is in the bottom of the ninth with two outs and an 0-2 count. And after Ramirez hit foul balls that were dropped by Lee, Aramis, Kosuke and Soriano. And Kuroda finished off a perfect game in the top half of the inning. On a road game... somehow. It's 0-0 heading into the bottom of the ninth and the Dodgers will be at home - therefore the Dodgers will get to bat in the bottom half. Has the embarassingly poor play confused me that much?
