  1. Oh well, couldn't get even the first touchdown. Georgia's going to win this thing 26-14. Defense played great and Stephens looked good. Otherwise, mediocre play at best.
  2. FG UGA 26-14 with 2:50 left in the game. I don't see the Tennessee offense producing two touchdowns in just under three minutes.
  3. Tennessee's on the edge of losing this one. Defense has played great, but the offense just hasn't gotten anything consistent going. It's not over yet, but it's really, really close.
  4. Texas Tech pulls out a 37-31 win in OT. Tennessee down 23-14 now after forcing UGA to kick a field goal. And we can't run the football for anything.
  5. TD Nick Stephens to Lucas Taylor!!!! 20-14, we're still in this thing!
  6. And Eric Berry keeps hope alive with an interception in the end zone!
  7. Tennessee's defense is doing everything humanly possible to keep us in this game, but the offense simply can't move the football. I like what I'm seeing from Nick Stephens, though.
  8. McCoy definitely embellished it, but Lewis shoved him with 2 hands when there was no reason to. Maybe not a great call, but a dumb decision on Lewis' part. Lewis shoved him a little and then reached out to try to keep McCoy from falling. Very poor call at best.
  9. Haha, that was a horrible call. Lewis even tried to hold McCoy up from falling down there.
  10. No doubt, OU is the front runner for the National Title. But, INT for Texas. . .
  11. they've had two drives, not really driving at will. texas has a decent offense, and that's only because of colt mccoy At will was probably the wrong term, but even when they haven't scored, OU's defense hasn't shut them down completely. Colt McCoy is quite good.
  12. Demanding a World Series win is a bit much, in my opinion. They certainly should have given a better postseason showing, though.
  13. OU's offense is either absolutely amazing or Texas' defense is overrated. I'm leaning toward OU's offense being incredibly amazing. That said, Texas has nearly driven at will against OU as well. I'm curious whether the Longhorns have that great an offense as well, or if this is a concern for OU.
  14. I don't want to sound too irrational here, but there needed to be some level of playoff success. We won the division last year and then improved on that in the regular season. Problem is, we didn't improve a bit in the postseason. Two appearances in two years and two embarrassing sweeps. I would have felt the season was successful even if we just made the NLCS, but we couldn't even manage that.
  15. Texas did the same until they got inside the 10.
  16. Maybe it was because the Cubs had the best team in the NL this year? Well, that and the fact that Tennessee winning their bowl game doesn't have any bearing on any other bowl games. As far as the Titans, I'm assuming you didn't have nearly the expectations for them as you had for the Cubs this year. With the exception of 98 (when I was just happy they were there) that's how it is every year for me, though. In 2003, 2007 and this year once the Cubs were eliminated I couldn't get enough interest to watch anymore playoff baseball. You may be right about the Vols, but even when I have high expectations for the Titans in the postseason (2002, 2003) and they fail, I can still watch and enjoy the rest of the playoffs. It's weird. I was only able to watch a couple innings in all during today's NLCS game (a half inning here and there in between games of pool and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia). I'll definitely watch the ALCS because there's no way the Cubs could be playing there, but with the NLCS, either result is going to tick me off. Obviously the Dodgers winning are going to tick me off but when Utley and Burrell hit those home runs, I wondered why the Cubs couldn't hit a couple balls that hard. I didn't watch a single pitch last night - and I don't plan on going out of my way to do it. Instead, I watched Wake Forest beat Clemson. I won't avoid watching the playoffs, I think there's just too much Cubs hangover left.
  17. I'm shocked. LOL. yeah. Why should they? This whole thing has been way overblown. Here is an excerpt from ESPN article on it: Minor incidences like these happen all the time and you don't hear a word. Wade Phillips and a few of the players called out the local media, and now the media is trying to take shots at the Cowboys from any angle they can. Pattern of behavior. It becomes different when you're known to be a problem player. I don't know what really happened, but it's very disturbing for a guy told he was on a short leash to be even putting himself in this kind of position. That's Pacman's problem, though. I don't think he's that much of a troublemaker personally, but he's terrible about hanging out with the wrong people and putting himself into bad situations. Not taking any of the responsibility away from him, but it's more poor judgement than anything.
  18. it's ridiculous how fast auburn goes through offensive coordinators. I think they scrapped it too quickly. You don't massively overhaul your offense and immediately have success. It simply can't happen. Tuberville isn't the most patient coach out there so it may have been fully his decision, but I wonder if there's anything going on behind the scenes that caused this to happen so quickly. I kind of wonder if Tuberville wasn't sold on the spread when he instituted it, but he caved into pressure from boosters or others? No inside info whatsoever and I could be way, way off base, just throwing it out there for discussion. Franklin was forced onto Tuberville, as Tommy was not Bobby Louder (the unofficial AD of Auburn) 1st/2nd/3rd/4th/5th choice for HC. So a lot of uneasy tension/feelings at Auburn. And my guess is...that you dont fire an OC during the middle of a week (if you were going to fire an OC why not wait till AFTER ARKY game to which you have 2 weeks to prepare for the next game) unless something was said that essentially broke the camel's back. And considering shortly after he was let go, Tony Franklin said, "Going to Auburn was a mistake", that statement tells you all you need to know. Dew, if there is one team that is in more disarray then your program, it is Auburn. And don't be surprise that if/when Alabama puts the boot to Auburn this yr, that Tommy is shown the door. None of that surprises me. I thought it seemed strange before the year that Tuberville would embrace the spread so easily and even more strange that he quickly started talking badly about it. Funny thing is, there are fans around here that talk about Auburn as if it's the model program that we should follow. #-o

  20. Can't make it rain every time. Gotta save up for those big occasions to really make it rain. Not making it rain (so to speak) in this case was actually a bad thing because he actually kept his cash in his pocket. I kind of feel sorry for Pacman at this point. No matter what he does, it ends up being the wrong move. Of course, if he didn't put himself in these positions . . .

  23. Interesting link, but how does Tommy Tuberville firing Tony Franklin have anything at all to do with Pacman getting into trouble?
  24. #-o Oh Pacman. I was afraid he'd keep getting into trouble. From the little I've heard this doesn't sound too major, hopefully it won't snowball into bigger stuff.
  25. After the Cubs crapped the bed, I just can't watch anymore. Which is weird, because I could watch the NFL playoffs last year after the Titans lost and I always watch whatever bowl games are still going on if/when Tennessee loses theirs. I don't really understand it.
