  1. This could clinch the Heisman for your boy. Harrell is rattled and I'm not sure I like this call.
  2. On what basis? Texas beat OU (slimly, albeit) and lost to Tech in Lubbock (very, very slimly). I don't think they should.
  3. True, the QB swap is pretty huge for Bama. And I don't doubt the abilities of Ole Miss, I just think very highly of the returning talent for Alabama. Breaking in a new QB in a defense first, ball control style team can be quite worrisome. So much of Alabama's success on offense this year has not been being stupid and turning the ball over. A new QB is more likely to make rookie mistakes. See Louisiana State. I definitely agree that breaking in a new QB is extremely difficult. LSU might be a bit different in that I'm not sure they're QBs are that good. Hatch transferred from Harvard and Lee is young, but how highly was he thought of? I honestly don't know. Bama has a young stud (supposedly) waiting in the wings. That could make the transition a bit easier, especially if the players around him perform. That said, I hope you're right. There might be one team in the NCAA I hate more than Bama.
  4. Leach looks a little like he's going to be sick.
  5. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h114/ChiefsLarry/Football/TimTebow-2.jpg So what you're saying is you're already jerking off. Has been since the night of the announcement.

  7. Some quicker passes would probably be helpful as well. Force the OU defense to slow down just a bit. Of course that would do much to help the defense stop OU.
  8. You really think they'll be favored over Bama? The Tide is returning quite a few great young players as well. I'd favor Bama by a little, if Nick Saban is still there next year.
  9. And to be honest, OU is just a lot more talented all around than Texas Tech. That, coupled with being in Norman, is likely too much for the Red Raiders. Yep, that's what I felt coming into this game. I thought OU's D was good enough to stop Tech's offense, but I didn't think Tech's D could stop OU's offense. So far, that's what we are seeing. I didn't really think OU's defense would stop the TTU offense. That's why I thought it'd be close. OU would just play a little better than Tech.
  10. Ole Miss is actually a pretty dang good team now that they have someone on the sidelines who can coach. Orgeron was bringing in awesome talent but made Dusty Baker look like a Hall of Famer. Now that Houston Nutt is there, the awesome talent is developing and producing. Definitely hard to believe. They havent been worth a ish since Eli's last year in 2003. But they are certainly no joke this year. They beat Florida at Florida and nearly beat Bama at Bama. Houston Nutt is an outstanding coach. And Nutt was fired by Arkansas just last season . . . #-o I thought he resigned. He had an affair with some reporter up there, and wanted to get away. He resigned as much as Phil Fulmer, Dusty Baker, Lloyd Carr, etc., etc. resigned. Technically yes, but he was forced out in all honesty. And it wasn't an affair. He just sent a ridiculous amount of text messages to her. Arkansas fans wanted a coach with integrity, so they hired Bobby Petrino. :-))

  13. Fortunately for you, yes, you can watch us get crushed in the Sun Bowl by whoever the hell the Pac-10 feels like sending. unfortunate for ND, actually. Payout, sure, but you're more than likely going to lose your 10th straight bowl game I really don't care about the bowl streak as much as everyone else does. None of those outcomes really meant anything (I like bowls, but the fact is except for the national title game, none of those outcomes really mean anything - it's about the experience). I'm glad the young players can get another month of practice time before (hopefully) the new coach comes in. That's all I really care about. I actually hope ya'll fire Weiss because I heard a (very unreliable) rumor that ND would then go after Urban Meyer and there would be mutual interest. I'm almost certain it's not the least bit true, but it still made me happy. Oh come now, that rumor went around the last time Notre Dame had a vacancy. And I was hoping it would happen then, too. Let me dream please. :D
  14. Yeah, not a real good start for the Red Raiders. I expected OU to win this game, but I've been hoping TTU would keep it close at least.

  16. Please hire Mike Leach, Mike Hamilton. Please.

  18. Touchdown Tennessee!!! We just moved the ball down the field by alternating between runs up the middle and QB draws. :-)) 7-0 Tennessee
  19. With 2 minutes left in the first quarter, Vandy has yet to attempt a pass - even though Chris Nickson has dropped to pass 5-6 times. The UT dline is getting ridiculous pressure on him right now.
  20. Good decision making so far by Coleman. Even though the rest of the offense blew that last drive to bits.
  21. THis is the worst Offensive line is UT history. Cannot wait to see Adkins gone. I think we're seeing the reason this year why Cutcliffe threw the ball alot on short patterns and focused on just getting it out of Ainge's hands. He probably knew this line was terrible.
  22. We've got the receivers (Gerald Jones and Ahmad Paige) and the running backs (Montario Hardesty and Lennon Creer). The offensive line isn't very good, though, and the quarterbacks suck. That said, five-star recruit Tajh Boyd has committed to Tennessee and hopefully he'll be able to actually complete passes. I think the players can run it, though it wouldn't be nearly as effective next season as it is with Graham Harrell and Michael Crabtree spearheading it. The frustrating thing with this offense is that there's good talent on the team, they're just not performing. I think you greatly underestimate BJ Coleman. In the JV game against Hargrave, Coleman looked really good. YOu can say that the level of competition was terrible, but he hit his open receivers, which is something Tennessee fans have not seen much of thus far. I definitely want to see Coleman. Just the fact that Cutcliffe liked him so much makes me want to see what he can do. I was hoping Fulmer would go ahead and start him today, though I do like Crompton (not his play, but his general attitude). That said, I'll be shocked (and pleasantly so) if Coleman can beat out Boyd next year (assuming Boyd truly signs with us). Any new nuggets on the coaching search? Not much new on the coaching front. I'd be a little surprised if Leach gets it over Kelly, as my understanding is that there are some in the Athletic Department who do not like Leach at all. Also, I have heard that Bruce Pearl is pushing Kelly as the next coach at UT. I won't be the least bit surprised if Coleman beats out Boyd. I think he's the real deal. We're about to see. Dang. I don't dislike Kelly, but I really think Leach is a great coach.
  23. BJ Coleman is in the game after UT recovers a fumble.

  25. The Tennessee defense is so good, it's even more frustrating that we can't move the ball. I'm probably going to miss John Chavis more than any of the coaches next season.
