The obsession in player evaluation over players with Super Bowl rings is really ridiculous. Prior to the playoffs, Joe Flacco was an inconsistent quarterback who probably shouldn't receive a large contract extension after the season. Four games later - and primarily only because he now has a championship ring - he's being mentioned in numerous outlets as on par with Peyton, Brady, Brees and Rodgers. Nothing has changed significantly with Flacco - he's still a good but not great, inconsistent QB. Just putting a ring on his finger doesn't change that.
