  1. Just saw that Schefter is reporting that Jake Delhomme will visit Cleveland Thursday.
  2. I would put him in a 3-4. Could be a very similar player to Orakpo. we don't play a 3-4... oops. but i like kindle better than the other two guys i considered (everson griffen from usc, who seems to still be getting by on the "potential" label but hasn't produced enough; carlos dunlap, who has character issues and work ethic questions). Kindle is more of a 3-4 type linebacker, but I think he can play a 4-3. You might not be maximizing his value that way, though. I really like Dunlap. WrigleyField 22 and the Ravens are now on the clock. I PMd him. Kindle is better-suited for a 3-4, but he can play OLB or DE in a 4-3 (which he basically did at Texas). If you want a 4-3 OLB, Sean Weatherspoon is your guy. Yeah, with the every increasing number of 3-4 teams in college there aren't a large number of 4-3 OLBs in the early part of this draft. That's actually what makes McLain and Spikes that much more valuable to me, they are very suited to a 4-3 linebacker role and wouldn't be playing out of place.

  4. Iupati's a stud. TruffleShuffle and the Eagles are now on the clock. I PMd him.
  5. So it took 22 picks for someone to nab a RB. Whats the latest that the 1st rb has gone in draft history? Steven Jackson was the first running back taken in the 2004 draft. He was taken by the Rams with the 24th pick. Since then the latest a RB has been taken is 7th.
  6. Flames and the Packers are now on the clock (how do we have 5,000 Packer fans on the board and only one in their war room?). I'll PM him.
  7. Bears cut Kevin Jones.
  8. He visited today and now the Titans have signed Will Witherspoon. 3 year deal worth a total of $11 million ($5 million guaranteed). I really like this deal. The guaranteed money is likely to be very low and he'll still be in his early 30s (33 I believe) when the contract is up. Very good signing by Reinfeldt here.
  9. Wouldn't Be Suprised to see him on the Seahawks That would be a good move by either the Seahawks or the Rams. He's shown potential and could be at least a stop gap/backup type guy if nothing else.
  10. I thought Gottlieb was a SABR guy?
  11. Giants have punched their Super Bowl ticket. They signed Jim Sorgi.
  12. I've been a customer since 2003, so they damn well better give me the same thing. I haven't heard anything about that so far. i just got a postcard in the mail today about it. it'll be channels 700-705 Ah; maybe I'll get the postcard within the next day or so then. Do you have to have ordered the March Madness package previously?
  13. Descending player, but still useful at WLB. The Rams' defense got signifcantly worse when he was traded. I've heard comparisons to a younger Keith Bulluck, but I really doubt he's that good. I think he'd make a solid stop-gap while Reinfeldt/Fisher look for and develop a young LB.
  14. Ooooohhh, I wanted him to fall to the Jets. I only saw a few ND games last year, but really liked Tate. I think he'll make a great slot receiver matched up against nickel corners and safeties.
  15. I wasn't rushing you, just making sure you were aware you were up.
  16. Linebacker Will Witherspoon is visiting the Titans. I'm not really familiar with Witherspoon, but I believe he's a fairly athletic linebacker who has put up some decent stats. Definitely an interesting prospect.
  17. Did anybody PM rocket?
  18. I think they'll strongly consider Cashner. Like you, I'd prefer they leave Cashner in the minors to start since we have so many options, but they seem extremely high on him. Similarly to Shark, though, I think more seasoning in AAA would do him good. I feel relatively confident that out of Caridad/Stevens/Gaub/Berg/Parker/Marshall/Gorzo, we can find 1-2 solid to very good relievers to go with Marmol. We have Grabow too Marmol Grabow Caridad Stevens Gaub Berg Marshall/Gorz Yeah, I didn't include Grabow because I was looking at younger, less proven pitchers who could step up into a new role because of Guzman's injury. Grabow is already a veteran who isn't likely to become anything better than he's been. Marshall is probably on the fringe of that as well.

  20. Riccardi generally asks for quite a bit, I think. I certainly wouldn't go any higher than Barney, though I bet Riccardi would want more. Riccardi isn't the GM anymore, Alex Anthopoulos is. But yeah, I guess I could maybe see them trying to get someone like Burke or Carpenter knowing that Hendry could be/is desperate to add bullpen arms. I wondered about that as I typed it, but couldn't remember that they made a change. Any trade is likely to be overpaying at this point, I'd say. That makes Weathers or a flyer on Smoltz that much more appealing.

  22. Most recent info I could find, Rotoworld from Sept. 30:
  23. Two of those three years combine for just 15 games. He wasn't good in those games, but that's not much of a sample at all. Why they didn't give him more of an opportunity is a good question, though. His 2004 season in Milwaukee (46 games) was pretty decent and it was his only full season outside of Petco. Bell's a better bet, though.
