  1. Was your best friend in HS black?
  2. I never thought I'd see an offense like this, I expect more damn it!
  3. Luckily after tonight, they'll only have one game (Wash) over the next 24 days so it'll give them a chance to get healthy. Getting Paea and Tillman will help but if they're not getting pressure, there's not much help on the way. Is it wrong that I'm hoping Peppers has been hampered with injuries throughout the year and it'll help.
  4. I wish I could tell how much of it is injuries, how much is the defense aging, and how much is the new defensive staff. 2 of 3, the injuries is just making the age look worse especially since it involves Tillman with both. System is the same minus minor wrinkles.

  6. I don't understand the need to defend a conference, who gives a [expletive]?
  7. I hate feeling helpless with this defense, there is nothing there to stop NYG, except Eli's mistakes.
  8. I never would think that Cutler would specifically target Marshall more b/c of what was portrayed by the media but it does make me wonder. Either way, it works.
  9. They have to get Shea out of there regardless of their situation, they're running at him on every play, he's killing them right now. And play whom? Shea shouldn't be out there unless its 2nd or 3rd and long. Wootton and Peppers as the primary DEs and take your chances with Minter and Cohen in the middle on 1st and any shorter yardage. Neither Bass or Washington would likely fare much better.

  11. No, he probably won't bring any pets into the clubhouse.
  12. He struggled as did the entire lineup, I can understand the logic behind benching him, I didn't agree with it but I still dont understand some of his moves with the starting Hellickson and the overall bullpen management. With that said, hes the best manager by a mile.
  13. Seeing Martinez next to Maddon last night swayed me . . . Maddon can frustrate similar to LaRussa, he's an overmanager. I still have no idea we saw so little of Joyce. Are you serious, Clark? Including the postseason, Matt Joyce was 5 for 77 in September/October Given the matchups and the strengths of Boston's pitchers, its a better matchup than Young or Rodriguez, regardless of a bad month.
  14. It's the former. Doesn't mean that he won't though.
  15. Some guy uk has mentioned for every opening in the system for the last 8 years I keep it consistent. I still think Dierker over Baker was the right move. I think terry bevington over dusty was the right move Draw, just more entertaining.

  18. He's still my top choice, him or Lovullo. I'd be curious how DiSarcina would do as well but I think he'd need to be a bench coach 1st.

  20. I doubt a team would have them go from the collegiate ranks right to MLB, there have been coaches going from college to the minors. I think it would have to be someone with a MLB pedigree like Erstad (who coaches at Nebraska) to ever break that barrier.
  21. Lovullo or Martinez please.
  22. Jackson and Brown.
  23. Which three should I start? WRs: Eric Decker vs Jax Alshon Jeffery vs. NYG Andre Johnson vs. STL Vincent Jackson vs. Phil Hakeem Nicks vs. CHC Decker is a lock, Nicks should get plenty of targets with no running game and NY likely to be trailing, NYG have a poor defense and Jeffery is playing a bigger role, Texans have no QB as neither does TB but is playing Philly.
  24. DJ, any thoughts on any of the Practice Squad guys around the League? Of the ones I seen, I remember liking Everett Dawkins (FSU) and Cody Larsen (Utah St?). Liked Dawkins coming out of the draft. Undersized, but obviously quick. For some reason, thought he was hurt. Larsen, I don't know much about. Don't remember him being anything special in terms of pass rushing/quickness. Want to say he's more of a strong, pocket pusher not a 1-gap type player. Not that at matters at this point, need bodies at DT. Looked at some more practice squads, I'm shocked Jerel Worthy is on a practice squad. I loved watching him at Mich St.
