    I also wondered if Briggs might be done here. I don't think he's been happy without Brian and Lovie here. I've read where he's avoided interviews the last couple of weeks and has generally been unhappy. Thought that might just be because he's playing in a crummy defense. Getting some good players around him might improve his mood. If you can get younger here, you almost have to, IMO. A declining Briggs does little. As far as Cutler, I expect them to sign him to a long-term deal although I'd rather see him franchised and draft a QB early.

    If theyre building this defense, wouldn't it be wise to cut Briggs too? I was very disappointed to see him so out of shape after coming back. Id also cut Bennett, Bush, Peppers, Podlesh. I hope they look for a starting RT, as much as they protected Mills it was still clear that he probably isn't a starting RT.

    Congrats to Banedon on winning the League, sucks it had to be an autopick draft team. :-) Im going to make some changes for next year for who want to return, drop the decimal points, lower the scoring for QBs, tweak the defensive scoring, and create a flex option for either a 3rd WR or a 2nd HB, as well as I'd to increase it to 14-16 teams. Any other suggestions?

    This is a good example of meatballing the other way I know, its frustrating when Cutler isn't finishing his tackles and getting out of position and out of his gaps. This is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. Jay didn't have much to do with this loss, but he wasn't very good either. He missed a few throws early that stalled drives, and took a couple sacks where he stood way too long in the pocket. I'm not a meatball that wants mccown to start, I just think the meatballs are given more fuel when there is a segment of fans that are incapable of admitting when cutler is not so good. Cutler wasn't good, just with him and his polarizing figure it's been all or nothing whether most like him or dislike him. These last two weeks have not been great. Right now with this defense, they need the QB who gives them the best chance of winning a shoot-out, this isn't the '06 defense where you might have an argument. Plus, everyone pissed right now.

    Your meatball jackassery is so damn annoying, that safety was on Mills for being a bad starting T. Forte is their best offensive player. Tucker is awful as a DC, I'm willing to give another shot under his scheme but no adjustments and no original plan.

    Disagree. Its not a good situation to improve mechanics, given he cant set his feet, no pass protection, and a defense that knows he's throwing every time and blitzing. He's limping, injury prone, and its not worth it.

    This is disgusting, pull Cutler and Briggs, any of the key starters get hurt for next week and it's on Trestman. This team had no idea how to prepare for the screen, they've been running the same stuff all season. Completely unprepared. This is on the staff as much if not more than the players. As bad as Shea has been, his play in the 1st and lack of containment was the worst Ive seen. Still can't believe Trestman wasted a TO at the end of the 1st half.

    Not good news. Kind of shows they don't give a [expletive] about staying under the luxury tax. Bad news both ways, the Yankees don't care about budgets (unless they know something about A-Rod) and that Shoo might be wanting more unless he hates the Yankees/NYC. It was before they signed Beltran. Their budget is separate than all, while I expected them to cruise way past the luxury tax, I expected them to stay close to their '13 payroll. I haven't looked hard at their budget but even with Rivera, Cano, Granderson, and Pettite no longer on the books, I can see them blowing last year's payroll way out of the water unless the A-Rod thing again.
