  1. A Saturday? Probably going to be tough to fill this . I wanted to wait till the as late as possible. If most want me to bump it up to Thursday, I'm all for it.
  2. Hendricks is very deceptive and gets many late swings despite the velo. Between that and his offspeed pitch he gets more swings and misses. Wells only had a slider and nothing else. Hill had a better TH and secondary pitch just much worse control and command. Neither are close.
  3. Draft is August 30th at 7PM CST.
  4. Everything is a go, right now we have 6 of the 16 teams. So we definitely need more so invite whoever you would like.
  5. Man, I'm jealous I miss owning my own business and since I went back into the management world it's suits, even on Friday. Once in awhile they'll let us wear Bears/Packers on Friday or polo/Hawaiian shirt day with blue jeans. I work in a cultish environment.
  6. The league is returning... I have set the draft for the end of August. Added more teams and increased the amount of playoff teams, took away the fractional points, adjusted the QB scoring (sorry Banedon) and added the flex position (3rd wr or 2nd HB). http://y.ahoo.it/NvmtO09W
  7. Not sure if you watched the game last year against Miss St but y'all would have won it if not for a shoe string tackle made by a Bulldog safety during Kentucky's last possession. That game as well as the one where they almost upset USC were their 2 best games of the season. 2nd year in the system with more talent from a solid class with the majority of the starters returning. Hopefully, we'll get to see more of the Texas Tech offense with an improved defense to take that next step. If they get 4-5 wins, it'll hopefully go from hopeless where it's at now to maybe soon they'll sneak into a 6-6 bowl eligibility (Music City/Independence) in a year or two.
  8. I wagered UK to cover the win total spread of 3.5. I have them at 4/5 wins depending on how they do against Miss ST.
  9. What a joke of a League. 4 games for a hit of weed. Knock the crap out of a woman, drag her by her hair and get two games?
  10. It's not about not paying him because you project him to fail but rather take advantage of why they actually built from within. The uncertainty is drafting a high school kid that early that's the risk. Waste of money to do so at this point.
  11. As SSR mentioned, it's not their style both in trading top prospects to get him, trading for a player on the wrong side of 30, combined with that higher contract. The only one I find intriguing would be Detwiler and that would be for something marginal in return.
  12. I loved Dernier growing up, then it shifted towards Dunston, and then Sosa back in 92-93.
  13. I actually thought Rendon deserves it most. Touche and you're correct.
  14. Of that group, he actually deserves it the most. I haven't looked at their war but Sale and Richards would be tough.
  15. Of that group, he actually deserves it the most. I haven't looked at their war but Sale and Richards would be tough.
  16. Radar guns are supposed to read it out of hand although stalker pros measure out of hand and when it reaches the plate. The velo typically drops 8mph by the time it gets to the plate.
  17. I'm torn as far as whether or not to explore trading Castro this off-season. His value will likely never be higher given his production, age, and team friendly contract. I would hate to trade him for a young arm and have it not pan out but to get a couple of top arms and allocate the money saved into more pitching is intriguing.
  18. Was anyone concerned about Shark s midseason decline? He did it last year and this June he regressed.
  19. I love this trade. I'm all about Stanton at this point in the off-season too. I wouldn't trade Arrieta at this point and I disagree with Raisin as far as not bringing Hammel back. Stanton Maeda and Hammel put them in contention with everyone else. You miss with that pitcher, it might cost you the playoffs. The foundation is more than there now they have to put the pieces around it.
  20. They've definitely hit the baseball hard lately.
  21. Lets trade Hammel soon. Each start here drops leverage.
