I never understood when [expletive] teams fire their coach this early. Why give the few recruits a chance to de-commit? Ride it out. KU would be smart to go after a great assistant who can recruit rather than mid majors and hope for a slim chance at a future Meyer or a bigger name with little substance. Jake Spavital would be at the top of my list with Beaty as the OC. (both from TA&M)

Mehful game. Offensively, either GB adjusted the pants off of them in the 2nd half or they fell apart. The D-Line was obviously awful. Damn Tucker for sticking to the zone and not man to man at all. can't fault him for not using the blitz much, seen it once when Frey was left to cover Cobb in the slot an that led to a TD. Detroit showed how important it is to pressure the QB with the front four against GB. Trestman still continues to be piss poor in the 2 minute drill. Refs were awful but the Bears still got it handed to them. -

The Packers are 4-8-1 in their last 13 games, including the playoffs. Granted, some of that was without Rodgers, but they've been blown out a few times and have 2 1-point wins, a blown coverage on 4th down win, and won because a game-tying TD was called back by a timeout. They are really struggling. The offense isn't clicking and the poor OL, losing Finley, Jones, offensive coordinator, etc. could be getting to Rodgers. Not to mention they are getting nothing on defense. If they get any pressure from the front 4, they have a great shot at this one. I'm expecting this to be Allen's best game. I hope they piggyback the Lions and always keep the safety up top on Nelson. Since they can't run the ball, I'm expecting a shorter passing game featuring Forte to eat up the clock. -
Definitely a possibility, depends on how much he prefers the college game room the pros. If I'm UM and UF, him and Gundy would be my top choices.

I am discouraged by the rumblings of Stoops becoming a hot coaching prospect for schools like UM or UF.

Yeah, it is amazing how much they are just making stuff up as they go along. I cannot believe Minnesota thought they could reinstate him without blowback, and then they turnaround and cave to the blowback? Yeah, that is astounding. And I don't understand why the NFL has done nothing about AP. Why have they left this to the Vikings? Isn't child abuse a form of domestic violence? They want to keep their hands clean as long as possible. They should suspend him. It's not up to the individual teams to decide on punishment, it's not like the NCAA and whether or the NCAA agrees with team imposed sanctions. It should be the story why they haven't suspended Hardy, AP, and McDonald.

Yeah, it is amazing how much they are just making stuff up as they go along. I can't believe they didn't learn from watching the 2 game suspension debacle. They look like absolute fools with the constant flip-flopping based on what it is seen on the morning news shows. The NFL got lucky with Minnesota and their typical way of handling things. I hope Minnesota gets blown out (for several reasons), meatball fans get all puffy, Minnesota struggles and caves to those fans wanting him back and then NFL gets to decide whether or not to suspend him and it comes around full circle.

AP isn't suspended. He's on an exempt list, and is still getting paid. There's nothing for the union to fight. Also, AP agreed to this...his agent says this is the best way to handle it right now...yadda yadda. Eh, I'm just giddy to see all of this happen. Don't darken my cloud!

I love the NFL right now. I hope the NFLPA fights the AP suspension like they are Ray Rice. I don't know what he could've done in the 24 hours from reinstatement until he was suspended again? Oddly enough, the Bengals have not been involved yet....

From what I've seen, Tennessee and Kentucky are way, way better than Vandy. Commodores are miserably pathetic this year. You're right as far as Vanderbilt, I should have put Arkansas in there instead. I think Florida and Mississippi State are a notch above.

If so, that's one of the dumbest rules I've hear of. At least be able to challenge it. UF up 30-27 in 2OT.

Son of a bitch, refs might've cost them the game. That was a delay of game on 4 and 10 which ends up being a game tying TD for UF.
