  1. Z is probably least deserving among those 5. (Young and Gorzelanny deserve it the most) Okajima deserves to go for the AL..
  2. Hopefully McLaren can make the most of it, that's an ideal team for him (younger and aggressive) and he's had a very good relationship with Ichiro in the past. While I'd rather see him go to a NL team, he's more than earned his due and hopefully Seattle can cont. what they've done and remove the interim tag. (For those wondering, I wanted McLaren to replace Bruce Kimm)
  3. He's gone backwards quite a bit from his 1st two months. His hits allowed, HRs allowed, and BBs have increased and it's hurt him quite a bit this month. It's up to him to turn it around, while he doesn't have to be as good as he was the 1st two months, he can't be as bad as he has been this month for them to have a chance. I said when he was going good, if he struggles, that'll be when you see if he has progressed from his days in STL/ATL. Before, when he would struggle he would try and be a power pitcher and throw too many 4 seamers and curves and try and strike everyone out.
  4. I hope Redmond is progressing well in AZ.
  5. As I previously mentioned, I think Canning would be a great choice.
  6. You really can't beat, "Yes, Mr. Met himself has made an apperance and then gets his Bhangra on..." So many interesting elements there.. It's like he's been part of the family the whole time.
  7. I like Hawes more than Noah as well. Different looks at times as far as having a post man with his skills to take advantage of various match-ups when Wallace needs a rest or is injured. While Hawes will never command a double team down low someone with his passing skills is underappreciated in regards to a C.
  8. This is the reason I voted for snood. Only one or two people you think are better posters than yourself? Come on. 1 or 2 that are left, sure... There have been others that have been eliminated (MOJ would've been another, I voted for Tree, as well.)
  9. He might not be if they decide to go with Durant over Oden which seems like a possibility. The ability Durant has for not being able break a Twix bar is amazing. I would think he can bulk up seeing as he's only 19-year old, but Oden should be the no-doubt first pick overall. I wouldn't pass up Oden either, but did you see some of the results from Durant's workouts?
  10. Who is the other? I'm assuming it's me in this round. Ping has a lot of respect for my breezy posting style. You're a sinner with your masturbating ways. Let's resolve this with a firm handshake. I'm not falling for that again, last time it wasn't your handshake that was firm.

  12. Also, Ward has had a total of about 12 ABs in well over the last month. I'd like to see them give a him a couple of starts before taking over for the Cubs most important hitter.
  13. Pie and trying figure how Theriot can turn it around after the pitcher's adjust will be his biggest test. If Fontenot goes thru a slump later on (which he will), trying to get him back on track as well. I doubt there was much work needed with Lee, Ramirez, Soriano and DeRosa appears to be maintaining a productive level from his last year in Texas. I was hoping for a turnaround from Barrett, but I didn't see anything mechanical that was wrong. Hitting coaches seldom get much credit when things are going good and alot of blame when it goes bad, he doesn't deserve any blame at this point and the Cubs should be content with the improvement over last year (which isn't that diffiulut to do).

  15. Raw is one of two that I'd vote before me.
  16. v including the sale The quicker the sale, the better. If he has no interest in locking up Zambrano, his interest isn't the well-being of the Cubs. I'm encouraged by the name of the new potential buyer.
  17. Good inning, 3 hits, 2 XBH, 2 2 out hits, and made Lopez work in the heat.
  18. Unfort. it'll take a base hit/error or a PB/WP to get him in b/c of a second poor AB in a row.
  19. Who the hell vidoetapes their TV with a camcorder? What is that all about?
