  1. Makes two of us. Three. Four. Six. Beat you. Good counting there. Kind of reminds me of when I saw the "Godfather" movies again on AMC Friday...
  2. Good heavens, is that JJ working the count? Crud - out and out of the inning. :( Pls close quickly and without drama, Dempster. Thank you.
  3. Already? Heck, they have to stand in line behind half the Cub rotation. Murton for certain!!! Hoo-ah!!! :D Big Murt deals the hurt! Jake should have left a while back. :D
  4. That would be Carlos Lee of the Brewers. Well, at least some of us remember! I got perhaps a half dozen responses there. :-)
  5. Torres warming up in the BP. That was the fellow that hit Sammy. Who was the Pirate who wiped out (was it?) Walker last year running to 2nd?
  6. Nice job, Marshall. Let's get out of it without further damage.
  7. I'm so tired of this Cub offense dialing it in. SUPPORT your pitcher, damn it! Actually, this was pretty lackluster play on D as well.
  8. Any ideas why Rusch has sucked so bad this year?
  9. FWIW, the Buc announcers speculated the ump was thinking that because he fielded the ball in the basepath, Wilson had to go around him. They looked up the rule here and justified this. He had already fielded it and was going to apply the tag, therefore, he was out. I hope we beat up on Santos next inning He was heading wide before he fielded it. Check the replay again. Still, the call could have gone either way. *Cough*HOMER*Cough* :D
  10. Definitely. Seventh inning stretch - that's the Bradley Basketball coach? Started out tone deaf, but getting better now. GET SOME FREAKING RUNS YOU STUPID BUMS!!!!
  11. Better one than none. Meanwhile, the strike zone continues to elude young Sean. Grounder makes it 1-1. :x
  12. It's a good thing I know you in a different capacity besides baseball, otherwise you'd be really annoying right about now. :D
  13. It's a long flight to Phoenix from Seattle - I know, I just took one. So I can imagine wanting to get on the plane out of Chicago ASAP. :-) Still, just a few more runs, pls, guys? Uh, the Cubs play the Pirates at Wrigley tomorrow afternoon before leaving for Phoenix. Check the edit. :-)
  14. It's a long flight to Phoenix from Seattle - I know, I just took one. So I can imagine wanting to get on the plane out of Chicago ASAP. :-) Still, just a few more runs, pls, guys? EDIT: der, there's still tomorrow vs. the Buccos. I just want to see them!!
  15. Any updates on bringing up Hill, incidentally? He was brought up. Oh. Kind of good news. One more shellacking out of Rusch, though, and perhaps he ought to be DFAed.. that is, if he doesn't kick a window fan in frustration, ala Farnsworth...
  16. Any updates on bringing up Hill, incidentally?
  17. Random note: me heart Ronny Cedeno. :-)
  18. Cincinnati pounding on the Cardinals tonight. Is the Cards' pitching FINALLY coming down to earth, or just the offense not called Albert Pujols?
  19. Well, at least the lineup has turned over again. Time for Pierre to crush one a touch further than he caught this last one. :) Go, Slappy, GO!! You can do eeet!
  20. Santos is a bum. First he beans Sosa, now he plunks Barrett. Should have the guts to face the good hitters. ;-)
  21. Yes, Guzman vs. Duke tomorrow. The Cubs need to win this game, then. Oooh, as I type, a bad baserunning play(s) worthy of the 2005 Cubs.
