  1. you gotta wonder how long soriano will be out there...
  2. russell keeps getting knocks man he should bat 2nd!
  3. Good question. I'm not looking forward to seeing wood. yea, because he's been awful in that role... .890 ops against at pnc
  4. Good question. I'm not looking forward to seeing wood.
  5. I just turned off Arkham Knight to watch this, and the tarp came on 1 minute later Trying to decide log in ff14 or eso.. hmm
  6. Was reading some article Mets have something like only 16 games vs. Teams in the contention. And almost half the team they play has partially AAA roster
  7. i wonder how much he made for that 1 game
  8. as excited as i am about this season, im even more excited about 2016, go cubs! ps utley might not be that bad this year
  9. So now you want them to sign a starting pitcher, extend Arrieta, sign an OF AND Zobrist? Wouldn't it make more financial sense to just see what Baez can do and have Castro as backup? well its just an idea, i mean who knows how it will shake out by opening day next year.
  10. if they keep richard who is the odd man out? it has to be soriano right?
  11. If they have no idea what Baez is going to do use some savings from offing castro to sign zobrist he can handle 2b easy.
  12. Catchers with comparable OPS to Montero in 2015 Derek Norris - SD 2015 - $545K 2016- beyond Arbitration Caleb Joseph - Bal 2015 - $515K 2016 - beyond Arbitration Montero 2015 - $12 Million 2016 - $14 Million 2017 - $14 Million how is this NOT a bad contract? SS comparable OPS to Castro in 2015 Chris Owings - AZ 2015 - $515K 2016 - arbitration Nick Ahmed - AZ 2015 - $515K 2016 - arbitration Castro 2015 $ 6 million 2016 $ 7 million 2017 $ 9 Million 2018 $ 10 Million 2019 $ 11 Million So these 2 guys make that much and basically rookie level guys have performed better in 2015. We have even better rookie than the ones compared too, I'd be trying to get rid of these guys in the offseason even if it meant eating a little salary (not all but like 25% max)
  13. Not mad at that lineup either. Go Cubs!!
  14. not even his power is concerning me as much as his legs, i saw 2 games this weekend up in milwaukee and when he runs it just looks strange..
  15. Theo added over $250m in salary obligations over the offseason just an fyi exactly why reducing the obligations is necessary to add more Probably should look to trade Rizzo too if that's the case no because Rizzo's production is a great value for his salary. you cant say the same for Montero and Castro Rizzo 2016 $5 Mil 2017 $7 Mil 2018 $7 Mil 2019 $11 Mil Joey Votto 2016 $20 Mil 2017 $22 Mil 2018 - 2024 $25 Mil / yr
  16. Someone mentioned deferred contracts oh it was Tim. I guess i shoulda quoted him. fcku Then why did you respond to me (who said nothing of deferred contracts) instead of him? Also, isn't trying to get around the swear filter a bannable offense, mods? Anyone? I think Sontensei has said a few times that English is his second language. Not trying to defend him, but is there a chance [expletive] you is not what he really meant? Yeah. I am sure that's it. Is imbecile a language? is dirtbag a language?
  17. Out of the super prospects who do you think is the most likely to bust? When I say bust, it is in regards to becoming a top mlb'er.. these guys are already good enough to be everyday players for some team. Russell Bryant Soler Schwarber Baez My opinion is that Soler is the biggest risk to bust due to his legs. 2nd would be Baez..
  18. i think russell is my favorite of teh rookies
  19. Theo added over $250m in salary obligations over the offseason just an fyi exactly why reducing the obligations is necessary to add more
  20. Based on the MLB 60/40 salary rule, anyone know what the cubs cap could be?
  21. That should always be the goal, even if money is of no concern, it doesn't mean they are going to do it but they should always be seeking out those guys over FA SP entering their 30's. Also moving Montero/Castro and getting Hayward and Zobrist probably adds MORE MONEY to the payroll, before any kind of SP is added yeah but the impact of say those 2 guys salary is lessened by about 21-22 million after moving the aforementioned players.
